Puttering around the garden ✨️🌱
A look at some of the plants I've got growing around my house! I was definitely premature getting a few plants into the garden beds but the only plant that really couldn't take the early frost were the pumpkin starters.
I hope all you who are gardening have a long and prosperous season! ☀️🌿🙏
I have quite an overkill yet of cherry tomato starter plants if anyone wants to trade or just pick some up for $2 per plant. In town in Smithers.

It was a beautiful spring morning to harvest some Arnica and spruce tips. I will rinse the Arnica and hang to dry; it's widely used for muscle pain relief so I shall find use in a tea, tincture and infusion. The spruce tips can be eaten just as is or put into a jar covered in white sugar where you'll see the natural wild yeast slowly turn the sugar into sweet fragrant syrup that you can use on anything you like. I think with this batch I'm going to toss them into a freezer bag to use a couple at a time in food, as the flavour is so layered. First it's fresh wild greens with a light sap taste then its a pungent complex spice, then you notice the soft and crunchy texture and the lovely after taste that lingers in your mouth. I'd like to experiment with it!

My favorite way to consume wild teas is to brew a pot, let cool and pour into a large glass jug with lemon and sometimes a bit of fireweed syrup. It is absolutely delicious. Today my blend consists of goldenrod, yarrow, alphalfa, pearly everlasting and aster. Blended teas have an endless list of benefits to the body but the most noticeable for me is my digestion. It takes away bloating, inflammation, constipation and helps digest my food with ease as well as flush toxins out of my body.
I always have tea blends on hand that I collect and dry myself from locations that are wild and abundant with what I'm collecting that day. I can mail or drop off anywhere in Smithers. Message me with questions or for a specific blend.
