“Whatever standard you’ve set for yourself is where you’ll end up...unless you fight through your instinct and change your pattern”

This statement really resonated with me this AM. I hear people say all the time:

~ I don’t have time to work out

~ once I am motivated I will do it

~ now is not a good time for me

~ I will do it when the kids are older

These are all things I hear when talking to people of active healthy living.

Here is the thing people, THESE ARE EXCUSES.

If you really WANT something we always find a way, if not we always come up with an excuse.

Another way to look at it is like this. Think about a promise or commitment you have made to another person. Do you move heaven and earth to MAKE it happen?! You rearrange your entire week/day or month to keep that promise? True?

Well why is it ok to continually break promises to yourself. We always put us at the BOTTOM of our priority list. When WE should BE AT THE TOP. We should keep our promises to ourself first and foremost. This is not selfish, it is necessary!!! It is the foundation that our life and happiness is built on. It fuels our souls and makes us a happier person.

Our happiness directly effects ALL THOSE AROUND US.

So stop breaking your promises to yourself. Keep your commitments to YOU. Build a STRONG foundation for the rest of you life. Keep promises to yourself and push through the instinct to stop or quit. STOP 🛑 telling yourself you CAN WAIT. You only have this life- grab hold of it and RUN! Be the happiest you CAN BE.

So grateful to be outside in the mountains 🏔 It is my happy place 😍 I need to do this MORE OFTEN!!

New HAIRSTYLE 💁‍♀️

Sometimes you need to change things up! Try something new. Do something for yourself to put a little pep in your step.

Well today I did just that😍

After weeks and months of my hair driving me CRAZY 😝 I finally went and got a hair cut, and it feels AWESOME 👏

My hair feels full and healthy. It is a FRESH new look 👀 And I plan on ROCKING it EVERY DAY!!

Outdoor cycle today

First time in 2 years my bike has been off the trainer. Need to find a good loop out in this area to do.

Love seeing the country side around me when I ride. I need to get out there more before the snow comes.

Camping 🏕 workout 🏋️‍♂️

You may think I am crazy 😜 and that is ok 👌. But since March 4 2019 I have been determined to move my body more consistently. Show up and challenge myself more often.

That includes while being on holidays. Yesterday we hauled wood for 3 hours, and I chose to follow that up with a run.

Today I felt like throwing around some weights so did nearly an hour of strength training. Using the moves I love from several different programs. It was a total body mash up! I simply threw on my Air Pods and went with it.

It feels AH-MA-ZING 😍

Working out on holidays is not a punishment for the treats that you eat or drink. It is about celebrating what your body can do for it. It is about keeping it healthy for the years to come!

The story of us!

Lee and I met in Grade 4!

Yep that is correct. And if you read my Gr. 4 diary it says things like;

“I am going to marry Lee Jacobs”

“I saw Lee talking to —— I hate him”

“I love Lee! I am going to marry him”

NO JOKE! (I even had it out for people to see at our wedding)

Lee and I have known each other since Grade 4. He used to draw me Garfield cartoons professing his love for me.

We have been best friends most of our lives. I even had some relationships end because of my friendship with him.

There is no ONE on earth 🌏 who knows me better.

Lee and I have dated on and off our entire lives. LITERALLY! We had been engaged once before we finally got married. The engagement before our “I do’s” was 3 months and 1 day long!

We were married on Aug 23 2003- that is 17 years this Aug!!! (Wow we are old)

No, it has not always been Unicorns 🦄 and Rainbows 🌈.We have most certainly had our challenges. Just like every married couple. But to but is simply I Love 💗 Him.

And I have since we met in Grade 4. I have known only 25% of my life with out him.

We may not be perfect, and I would never pretend to be. Some days may be messy and ugly. But he is mine and I love him all the more it!

Run run run 🏃‍♀️

Running is my true love. But I have been hampered by injuries for 2 years now.

So EVERY TIME I go for a run that is PAIN FREE, I celebrate 🎉 that s**t.

Tonight’s run was just that PAIN free. I was so pumped up up that I followed it up with a totally body burner.

One thing that I have REALLY been focusing on during my workouts is PROPER muscle engagement. I really believe that as a result of proper activation my running is improving and my body is slowly healing itself.

Hopefully every run will soon be a PAIN FREE RUN

I DID IT😍

Tonight I officially finished my very first round of 6 Weeks Of The Work. And I could not be more proud of myself. It was by far THE hardest program I have done ✅ to date. I LOVED 🧡 every rep. There is a part of me that is actually a bit sad and will miss it. BUT I KNOW I
WILL BE BACK.
