Why is getting a full highlight important?

A full highlight isn’t necessary for every appointment, depending on how blonde you want to be. But I do recommend getting a full highlight done one or twice a year to break up what I refer to as the “black hole”

You’ll see in the second picture that there is a dark area that falls in the centre of the lengths of her hair. This is from the section of her hair underneath that hasn’t been highlighted in about a year!

So we did a full head to break it up and give us a more cohesive finished result. We added a root shadow for a soft blend and toned her hair with a modern golden tone, to give us a fresh final result.

Another before and after growth pic on why extendies are our friendies

This client came to me with hair that wouldn’t grow past her shoulders. It was brittle and dry and prone to breaking.

We started out doing two rows of sewn in hair back in July of 2022. Over the past few years, everytime we hate out her extensions, we are amazed at how much growth she has gotten!

I forgot to do an after picture of her full install (of course) but the proof is in the pudding here. Extensions can help your hair grow to lengths it’s never seen before!

Hi! It’s me!
I don’t normally post my mug here but wanted to take a minute say THANK YOU all of my amazing clients for sticking with me over the past year while I focused on my health. It was rocky there for a bit, but your patience was much appreciated. For all of you to trust in me with your hair means the world!

I’m feeling so much better these days and beyond grateful to be still doing what I love. Having kind, supportive people in my chair has made all the difference. I wouldn’t have gotten through this without all of you!

Thank you for being part of my life and for letting me be part of yours. I’m so lucky to have each and every one of you. 💕

This client had come to me with a number of color issues!

She had a lighter root, dark banding through the midsection and was about three different shades of too warm. Her regrowth came in too hard and seemed very high maintenance to her.

We wanted more balance in her color, while still giving her a look that was overall lighter than her natural base. We wanted less brassiness and more shine. We also wanted a softer grow out.

Still with me?

I chose to do a full head of babylights, and tint back the rest of her hair in between the foils with a three part color to balance all the banding and keep her base more neutral. We finished off her service with a root shadow that was one shade lighter than her base, which gave her highlights a more “lived in” feeling, keeping the entire look balanced, fresh and modern, and the grow out soft!

Extendies are our besties 👯 swipe to see the transformation!

This client had come to me with a head full of tape ins. Her hair was so fine and fragile, she hated how you could always see her tapes. The tapes would twist and poke out through her hair, and were always visible when her wore her hair up.
Every time she removed the tapes, she felt her hair got worse and worse. She came to me looking for another solution.

We did two rows of sewn in hair. It gave her a soft and natural look, and was so much easier to hide than her tapes had been. I’m looking forward to seeing the progress we make with her hair growth journey in the coming months!

Extensions can give you a boost of confidence!

This client came to ma with super fine hair, she wanted to add length, but still wanted it to feel natural. We did two rows of micro wefts, sewn two to a row to allow her naturally fine density to support the weight.

She was so stoked on the length as she’s never been able to grow her hair long naturally, and is so happy to figure out all kinds of new styles for her brand new hair!

Swipe to see how much growth we’ve gotten from a year and a half of wearing extensions!

This client came to me with hair that wouldn’t grow. She had been wearing extensions for years and just hadn’t been seeing results. Since her hair is naturally dry and brittle it was hard for her to get anywhere with her growth journey.

We did three rows of sewn in hair to protect her natural hair and also add lightness. She’s able to finally get some length and also finds that her hair is lower maintenance when she’s wearing her extensions.

Sometimes as blondies fun changes can be hard. We want to switch things up but also don’t want to sacrifice the health of our hair if we don’t like it.
Extensions can be a good way to add in some fun color that’s also super low commitment! You can pop it in and out or switch it up as you please!
Often times, adding fashion colors with extensions can work out to be cheaper than doing a double process color, and better for your hair. So it ends up being a foolproof way to get your fun color fix, without all the fuss!

An extension progress picture. Two years later.

This client had come to me two years ago looking for change. She had been wearing fusion extensions that were rough on her hair. She had a baby and experienced a ton of hair loss. Her hair was in a place that she was unhappy with. And wanted to give hand tied hair a try.

This is her natural hair now. Exactly two years and five days apart. No extensions, all her natural hair. I didn’t get an after picture with her extensions in and her color done, (classic) but even without that, this change speaks volumes.
Because of the method of install and reinstall, this method was ultimately healthier for her hair. Moving her wefts gave it an opportunity to strengthen up and get fuller.
Your extensions shouldn’t force you into a place where you NEED to have them in order for your hair to look good. They should be used as a tool to help boost our confidence, and should you CHOOSE to keep wearing them, that’s okay too. 💕

Swipe to see this hair growth transformation!

This client has been wearing sewn in hair for about two years. This time when I took her extensions out, it had grown so much we needed to do a big cut! The first slide was her hair when she first came to me, still long, but notice how much longer and fuller her hair is in the second slide!
She’s due for new hair soonish, so we brought her hair (and extensions too!) up about three inches for a change and a fresh healthy look. If she chooses to go back super long again for her new hair she totally can, so it’s a great opportunity to try something a little shorter! Added in some balayage highlights for extra dimension and the result is super full, healthy hair!

I Havn’t posted anything in a while! But check out this extension transformation!

This client had been wearing her fusion hair for about ten weeks. She was unhappy and found it looked unbalanced and unnatural, and that they stuck out in her fine hair. She was losing bonds by the handfuls, and worried about her hair breaking.

Why is this happening? Well her bonds were too big! Her hair is so so so baby fine that there was very little to support the larger bond sizes. Fusion is an amazing extension method, but it really needs to be tailored to the individual client in order to work well. Trimmed down half or even third bonds would have worked better and looked more natural for her.

But she wanted to switch to something that looked a bit more balanced, so we did two rows of hand tied hair to give her more length and natural fullness. See how they fall more naturally? It will be easier for her to style at home and gentler on her natural hair!

This client had been wearing fusion extensions for ten years! She would wear them for 6 months at a time (longer than I’d recommend!) so honestly I expected a ton of damage.
I was wrong! I didn’t do her fusion install, but the stylist that installed her hair did an amazing job! Her extensions were well installed and her bond sizes were small enough for her fine hair to support. All extensions are damaging to some degree, yes. But choosing a service provider who is well practiced makes all the difference in the world. Upon removal she had much less breakage than I would normally see.
She felt super boring and drab being brown, and wanted to try something different! so switched things up to give her a gorgeous copper (note how different it looks in different lighting!) I installed four! (Yes four!!!) bundles of sewn in micro weft hair on three rows to give her a mega full end result.
