A serious, possible complication of dermal filler is something called “vascular occlusion”. This happens when filler is injected into an artery in the face…..when this occurs filler blocks blood supply to the area (no blood supply/oxygen = tissue death/necrosis).

Vascular occlusions can happen to any injector at any time-they can happen with the use of any type of filler to any area of the face. This is the risk I take as an injector and the risk you accept as a client.

What’s important is that you are being treated by an injector who practices safely, can recognize a vascular occlusion and who knows how to treat it!

Remember, aesthetic injectables aren’t a quick beauty treatment. Dermal filler placement is a medical procedure. Staff at Rockwater Aesthetics consistently utilize safe injection techniques with every single client. More importantly, we know how to manage complications that may arise 💡
