✨ MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY ✨

I am posting this photo to give a little motivation to whoever reads this LONG post.

This photo is the day I graduated from ICT Northumberland Massage Therapy College in September 2020. Behind all the excitement for my future is a woman who worked extremely hard to earn that diploma.

To be completely honest it wasn’t my first choice, wasn’t my first time in college and it was not right after high school.

I didn’t have a clue what I wanted to do after high school. All I knew was I had to go and try- studied marketing and advertising, sports and recreation and pursued teaching before I found massage therapy.

For any high schoolers reading this.

It’s OKAY if you don’t know what your future holds. It’s OKAY to change your mind a million times. It’s OKAY to follow your passion and dreams, even if others have a different opinion. And it’s OKAY because at the end of the day, your career is for YOU.

Behind this photo is a woman who had countless hours of hard work- studying, learning and massaging. The very first time I ever place my hands on my classmates back- I couldn’t feel anything. I was very worried that I chose the wrong career path. Luckily my teachers were beyond helpful and knowledgeable to tell me “Simone, it takes time and practice. You will get it!”

On my graduation day I told my friends and family I am going to work in clinic/spa settings and build a clientele. In 5 years I want to start my own practice. Well, here I am. Beyond grateful for everyone supporting my massage therapy practice!

Did you know that your spine naturally has curves that help with balance, movement, and shock absorption? When these curves become more or less pronounced, they can affect how your body moves and distributes load.

In massage school this is one of the conditions that we commonly treat. If you have a sitting job- desk job, student or transportation job, posture can be affected.

Not every postural difference means something is “wrong.” Everyone’s posture is unique, and what matters is how your body moves, feels, and functions.

As an RMT, I look at the body as a whole and consider how muscles, joints, movement patterns, and daily activities may contribute to discomfort.

I just wanted to reintroduce myself on here, with new people and upcoming new social media content.

Hi, I’m Simone! 👋🏼

I am an Islander and Registered Massage Therapist located on PEI (Prince Edward Island 🇨🇦).

I have been a RMT for over 4 years and have worked in both clinic and spa settings. I decided in 2025 to start my own massage practice and haven’t looked back! My practice consists of therapeutic massage treatments that help you get back to your every day activity.

I have continued my education in cupping therapy, prenatal, aromatherapy, rekiki and myofasical stretching. I plan on continuing my education to enhance my massage practice in other modalities such as paediatric, TMJ and pain management.

Some fun facts about me are:

👉🏼 I love Iced Lattes or Hot Chocolate
👉🏼 I’m a Pisces
👉🏼 I love to volunteer for my community

Massage Therapy (in my opinion as an RMT) is a treatment that manipulates hands-on soft tissue that helps your muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and fascia to help you get back to your everyday activity.

Massage Therapy has been practiced for thousands of years, and helps supports your body’s’ physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.
