Things are heating up outside, and inside Little Room, we’re warming things up too! 🌡️

The pedicure experience just got a new addition with the blanket warmer. You all loved sinking into the heated bed when your polish dried, so I figured why not add another layer to create even more relaxation? It’s just another way to make sure you feel completely taken care of when you decide to treat yourself.

And don't worry, if you prefer the shellac polish, or decide to skip polish altogether, you can still wrap up and enjoy a warm blanket during your treatment!

Today I celebrate 15 years as an esthetician ✨

On May 13, 2011, I completed my esthetics program. And looking back, I realize my 19 year old self had no idea what she was truly signing up for! 🤷‍♀️

My professional path has taught me so many things and introduced me to so many people who I share a great connection with. It has also had its fair share of challenges, and at some points, I even felt like completely quitting.
However, I kept going, one step at a time. Today, I’m standing here wiser, more confident, and deeply proud of what I've accomplished over this decade and a half.🏆

Some of you have been with me through every twist and turn, while others are newer to my story, but every chapter of this journey shaped the professional I am today:

Sudbury: Spending 1.5 years learning the ropes and finding my footing while working for a spa there. 💆‍♀️

Sturgeon Falls: A big 5.5 year chapter. My mother and I joined forces, and put in a ton of work to build a reliable and strong foundation for the business. These were truly my formative years. Navigating the unique dynamics of working with family while maintaining a level of intense dedication to the craft was a make or break period for me. It was the most demanding work that I’ve ever done, and honestly, the closest I ever came to giving up on the industry entirely. ⚓

Hanover: A 2-year chapter of growth and new perspectives. 🌿

Sturgeon Falls: Returning for 2 more years and working through the rapidly changing world. When my mother decided to retire from the industry post covid, I found myself at a pivotal crossroads in my career. 🛣️

My Little Room: We’re coming up on my fourth year since I made the leap to go solo and establish my home based practice. While working from home requires a new level of discipline to balance my professional and personal life, I enjoy the focus it allows. I’ve loved dedicating my full energy to my passion for pedicures, and I am so grateful for the quiet sanctuary my space has become. 🕊️

I am especially thankful for my clients who have evolved alongside me, because I truly wouldn’t have a business without you. Whether you have been with me since the beginning or joined me more recently, your loyalty is what has made these 15 years possible. 💛
