Putting "Service Above Self" into action right on the stage at the 18th annual Grass Roots and Cowboy Boots! A tremendous thank you to the Rotary Club of Summerside for stepping up with an outstanding $36,000 contribution – more than doubling their usual gift at Grass Roots! 🎉💚

The Summerside Rotary Club has been a powerhouse of local support for the Prince County Hospital, even fundraising for the capital campaign of our current hospital building. Rotarians have always found ways to give back to your hospital, including serving on the PCH Foundation board, volunteering for fundraising events, and contributing personally or through their businesses to meet the most pressing needs for patient care. 🏥

💙 The support of local service clubs, like Rotary, ensures our healthcare teams have the vital, life-saving medical technology they need to deliver exceptional care right here in our own backyard.

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Summerside for your unwavering commitment and for always showing up for patients and families across Prince Edward Island! 🙌

Katie shared her experience supporting entrepreneurs and helping promising early-stage companies grow across Prince Edward Island and Atlantic Canada. As an investor, business leader and mentor, Katie is making a meaningful contribution to our region’s growing entrepreneurial community.

Thank you to Matt MacFarlane, Leader of the Green Party of Prince Edward Island and MLA for Borden-Kinkora, for joining the Rotary Club of Summerside as our guest speaker.

Matt shared a people-focused message about leadership beginning with listening, understanding the everyday concerns of Islanders and looking out for our neighbours.

He spoke about the importance of putting people and communities at the centre of decisions, with attention to healthcare, affordability, accountability and the future of our Island.

We appreciated Matt’s thoughtful perspective, his openness, and the engaging conversation with our members. Thank you for spending the morning with us, Matt!

A big thank you to Ayrton Kutcher for joining the Summerside Rotary Club as our guest speaker.

Ayrton shared the story of the AK Racing Team, reflected on his 2025 rookie season, and spoke about his continued success throughout the 2026 kart racing season.

We appreciated the opportunity to learn more about his racing journey and wish Ayrton and the entire AK Racing Team continued success on the track!

The Summerside Rotary Literacy Book Sale is one of the largest used book sales in Prince County, and every donated book helps make a difference right here in our community.

Last year, we raised more than $20,000, helping us support literacy projects throughout Prince County. We are so excited to do it again this year.
