I was slingin snips for donations to Charlottetown’s Anderson House. It was a really rewarding experience to connect with so many people, help a few down on their luck, and see first hand the generosity in this province.

The Anderson House offers shelter and support around the clock to women, trans, and non-binary folks experiencing family violence, while offering specialized programs for their children to help them heal from trauma. They’re a lifeline for countless families on PEI, ensuring victims and their children have somewhere safe to turn when they need it.

I typically don’t like promoting charitable stuff I’m involved with, but transparency feels important here given how many people generously chipped in. After tallying up all your donations (and rounding up a bit), I’m proud to say that after 17 hours behind the chair and about 110 haircuts, I was able to donate $1,600 directly to Anderson House. I’m still blown away by your generosity and can’t thank everyone enough for your support.
