One of the biggest misconceptions about extensions is that matting just “happens.”

Sometimes a transformation means removing hair extensions, which feels counter intuitive when hair extensions are my literal job. My client came to me after having just purchased extensions 6 months prior (they should last about a year) she was noticing them falling out, not feeling sturdy and feeling very uncomfortable. We were originally going to try to reinstall the hair to get the most life out of them but once I started removing them I realized that because of the way they were installed the weight was tearing off the tip used to install. We decided it was better to start fresh. We removed the old extensions, refreshed her colour, cleaned up her ends and ordered her a fresh set of extensions from my signature line.
