Some days the stress of keeping up with today’s cost of living has been a mental load all of us are exhausted from! But somehow most of us have kept up. For too many families they aren’t just pivoting and cutting corners. They are just going without. Without food. Without new clothes. Without toiletries that seem luxury or unnecessary. Please. If you have felt it but are getting by then you know how close you are to going without. Please help make others Christmas’s feel warm and not lacking. Please fill that truck ❤️❤️❤️

I understand my salon guests are excited about unmasking! I ask moving forward that we continue to be mindful of those that might not be ready yet.

I am so excited to see all of your beautiful faces, however if you still feel more comfortable wearing a mask please do. I will still continue to mask as I feel necessary, if you’d prefer me to stay masked for our appointment please just ask ❤️

As my studio is in my home and there are exposure risks to my family, I will continue to ask if you or anyone in your household has the flu or experiencing covid symptoms, that you please cancel and reschedule your appointment. If you arrive to your appointment with symptoms you will be asked to leave and re-schedule.

Salon cleaning protocols and sanitization procedures will still continue cause let’s be honest….the world is gross 😂!

OK everybody! It’s time to show some care and some gratitude! The Cloverdale community kitchen is in dire need of help. The Langley food bank has closed down and now they are basically our resource for taking care of the Surrey and Langley community in need. There’s always an influx of food that comes during the holiday season, but people need to eat and they need supplies in the summer too! Please find it in your heart to stop by my salon and drop off a donation, or make a cash donation! I am able to provide you with an envelope to apply for a tax receipt ❤️

It was a real treat to be off for almost 8 months with my girl. I was anxious and nervous to come back. Was I going to still do my job as well? How am I going to balance my work and new family life?Was I rusty? Have all my clients moved on? Am I starting over? Lots of fears about returning. Some are true.....I felt a little rusty and it all came back! Some clients have moved on, and I’m trying not to take that personally, it’s a natural progression of business, I have rebuilt before and I will again. How did I balance the last couple of days? It was super hard not to run down the hall to my baby if I heard her cry!
What made it so worth coming back is the experiences I have to privilege to be brought into, that are intimately shared with me. Like this lovely man, who grew his hair out during the pandemic so he could donate it. See, he has a very personal loss, his daughter was taken by cancer. He shared her story with me, it gave me goosebumps, brought me to tears and reminded me why I love this career so much! It’s not about the vanity for me. That’s an added bonus. It’s the shared connection. Welcome back to my account. Things will feel a little different from now on. No more posing, I’m not worrying about what my “top 9” look like, and I could care less about having the most aesthetically coordinated feed. If you’re into some unedited pics, some raw opinions, some laughs, and sharing in the human experience then stick around!

If you are on my mailing list you have received a email with my return dates. A couple more will follow this one. They are very important so please give them a read. I will be sending one with menu updates, as I have not done one in over three years now. Most prices won’t adjust much, some color services will be updated to keep up with rising costs due to Covid, and the increase in man hours these services require.

The third email will cover salon Covid protocols. These will be firm until the world goes back to some from of normal.
