My story:

I would like to think that my Career as a Nail technician started when I was a little girl, I always had a burning passion to create things artistically wether that was painting nails for friends and family or attempting a french manicure with whiteout. When I was 14 I applied for my first restaurant job to be able to afford Acrylic Nail Extensions and all other luxury spa services. From this point on I immersed myself in the beauty industry from every angle… acrylic nails, spray tans, pedicures, massages and body wraps (approved and signed by my legal parent guardian lol), I was receiving all the services that adults would. I quickly grew more curious about the behind the scenes work and once High school graduation came I was certain I had discovered my passion and was convinced I would own a nail salon in the next 10 years. In the fall of 2014 I graduated Blanche Macdonald with 2 certificates, Nail Technician and Aesthetics. That same month I landed my first salon job at Amour Beauty Lounge, where my career truly took off. Starting from the bottom like most techs in this industry wasn’t easy, but after two years of work experience at Amour Beauty Lounge I was booking 4-6 weeks out and was living my dream! One day I was scrolling through facebook when I came across a hiring interview for a beauty therapist on the cruise ships. At this point I began getting comfortable with nails and wanted to explore my other certification in the aesthetics field. So with my travel bug ignited I decided to take a break from nails and sail the seas on the Carnival Cruise line performing facials, massage and waxing! It was so exciting and Challenging, it made me learn a lot about myself and what I truly desired. After performing hundreds of luxury services over the nine month contract, my guests would mention how I had a “heavenly touch” and intuitive nature. This is where I came up with the idea of Hands Of Heaven. I figured it would be a great fit for Nails, or eventually other beauty services such as facials, waxing & more since it could refer to my Hands Of Heaven, or yours! After a year away from nails, I realized my creative expression was lacking and I felt like I should start painting or drawing again. Once I arrived back home I was met with an outstanding amount of requests from my previous clientele wondering when and where they can see me again for their next nail appointment! This is when I truly found my calling and realized my passion for the art of nails. I finally understood the direction my life was taking and how each chapter was one step closer to making my dreams come true! Fast forward to today, two and half years after going out on my own I live each day with the intention to serve you better than the industry standard and make you feel beautiful and valued for everything that you are! This is just the beginning for Hands Of Heaven and I am committed to changing the Nail Industry one salon at a time! Xo Kelsey
