This kind of dismissal can feel invalidating and frustrating, especially when you’ve taken the time to approach the conversation thoughtfully. It’s even more disheartening when the other person deflects by bringing up an issue they have with you, one they chose not to address previously. This behavior can make you feel like your feelings and concerns are not being heard or valued. It can also create a sense of imbalance in the relationship, as one person’s concerns are prioritized over the other’s, leaving the latter feeling unheard and dismissed. ⭐️ HERE IS HOW YOU RESPOND ⭐️ It’s important to remain composed and assertive. You can acknowledge their concerns but also reiterate the importance of addressing the issue you brought up. Here is just one potential response: “I understand that you have concerns as well, and I’m open to discussing them at another time.
