One of the biggest challenges makeup artists face is not creating a flawless look, it’s creating a balanced look when the skin has natural variations in tone, recent sun exposure, or different depths of color between the face and body.

This beautiful client came in with color variation between her face, chest, and shoulders, and my goal wasn’t to cover or mask her skin. Instead, I focused on creating balance while keeping everything looking natural, and true to her.

Makeup isn’t about making skin perfect. It’s about understanding undertones, enhancing what’s already there, and customizing every application to the individual in your chair.
