The basic difference between bevel vs convex scissors... which most stylists and groomers have no idea about. The convex take much more work and special equipment to sharpen and thats why you pay twice as much. The downside is that they damage easier due to the delicate edge. About 80% of scissors I sharpen are bevel edge.....tougher but not as a refined edge and quicker to do.. so cheaper.

I have the latest in equipment to bring your knife edges razor sharp. I use a custom engineered belt style machine built by AMK tactical knives. It is a variable speed machine that generates very little heat. This is the only machine of its kind in northern Ontario. In most cases my finished edge is sharper than factory. General chef knives, Japanese or fillet. Standard or custom angle is dialed in to match your requirements. Minimum of 4 belts used in sequence. Knives are always finished on diamond infused leather belt. I also do ceramic blades and repair broken tips.

Factory trained to sharpen Japanese style convex shears on convex sharpener system. Uses diamond coated convexing wheel at low speed. Finished off with leather wheel and polish. The inside ride line is hand sharpened on a japanese wet stone and polished to mirror finish. Does not ruin the titanium coating like many sharpeners and gives a true convex, not a microbevel. Lefties and curved no problem.
