Black box dye → BLONDE 🤯✨

If you think this happened in one appointment and a couple hundred bucks… think again 😅

This transformation started back in April.

This client had YEARS of colour history: previously blonde, then darker at home, through different shades of red, and eventually black box dye over it all.

And then… she wanted to be blonde again 😂

Her first appointment took approximately 7 HOURS. I did a full platinum card — essentially back-to-back foils through the entire head.

With this much colour history, different areas lift differently. Foiling gave me more control and allowed me to work strategically through each section.

We did NOT get her blonde in one sitting.

We safely lifted her to approximately a level 7, toned her, added a shadow root and sent her home knowing this would be a process.

Fast-forward about 6 months… ROUND TWO 🥊

This appointment took another 4 HOURS. I strategically lightened her regrowth and carefully pulled through where needed while protecting her fragile ends.

Our goal? Level 8 blonde.

And we got there 🙌🏼🤍

Is every strand perfectly cool and identical? Nope. There are still a few warmer pieces through the compromised ends — because preserving the hair is more important than chasing another half level of lift.

Going from multiple layers of red and black box dye to THIS while still having hair on her head? 😂

I’ll take that win.

Two appointments. Approximately 11 hours of work. A LOT of product. One very sore back 😂 And one beautiful blonde.

THIS is colour correction ✨

To maintain this blonde, she’ll be coming in approximately every 8 weeks for her retouch, toner and treatment. She also went home with a proper hair-care routine because creating a healthy blonde is a partnership.

Watching her grow over this past year has been so special. She is an incredibly talented young woman with such a bright future ahead of her in this industry, and I am SO proud of everything she has accomplished in just one year.

Her talent, growth, hard work and confidence continue to amaze me, and I truly can’t wait to see where this career takes her.

More than anything, I’m so grateful that she’s part of our little work family. 🤍
