All the extra faxes we have to write (I know, its hard to believe that we still use faxes in Healthcare) and the extra notes doctors have to read just because this one drug is back-ordered even though there are multiple brands making this drug!

Pharmacists in Ontario can “adapt” your prescription to change dosage, instructions or route of administration if necessary but we can’t unfortunately switch the drug when it is back-ordered.

There are lots of other similar drugs in the same category to switch to too BUT they might not be covered for seniors because the other ones require an authorization code while this one doesn’t because the government did not update their rules on the older drugs.

Ok, enough venting. You probably wouldn’t ever hear your Pharmacist complain about this until this Netflix documentary. 🫣

The idea of using over-the-counter medications for hormonal symptoms of very interesting.

It might be tempting to try this option but do speak to your health care provider first to explore all of the options, safety and appropriateness for you first.

A fresh start doesn’t require a new year, a Monday, or the perfect plan. It begins with one decision: to take care of yourself.

Move your body.
Nourish yourself.
Prioritize your sleep.
Support your hormones.
Protect your peace.
Choose progress over perfection.

At The Pharmacy Lab, we believe wellness isn’t about chasing perfection. Its about building sustainable habits that help you feel like yourself again.

If today is your restart, we’re here for it. 💚

Just a knee jerk reaction here 😳. The next step is to call 🚑 but also know thar Pharmacists are typically CPR and First Aid certified. 🩷

Day in the life of a community Pharmacist.

Its not to say this is a healthy culture for Pharmacists but we do have a ton of responsibility and work to get done within the hours we are open.
