🤲🏼Massage for humans & horses🤲🏼

Massage therapy is commonly used in human practice to enhance the body’s function and to overall help us feel good!

🐴What about our horses?

👩🏽‍🤝‍👨🏼Think about how much our human bodies go through in our day-to-day lives…

👩🏽‍🤝‍👨🏼You may sit at a desk, play intense sports, work a vigorous job, suffer from an acute/chronic condition, &/or experience an injury. All different degrees of physical activity or body status can prompt accumulation of stiffness, tension, pains & discomforts.

🐴What about horses who vigorously work 5-6 days a week? Or retired horses who spend their day grazing in a field? Or an injured horse who may be on stall rest?

👩🏽‍🤝‍👨🏼What about mental stress? What happens to our body when a lot is going on in our mind? Our body may tense, stiffen or increase pain symptoms of other injuries or bodily imbalances as we cope with stress.

🐴What about horses who may spook frequently, demonstrate anxious tendencies or have high energy bursts? Or horses who struggle on or off property, in groups of horses or have a hard time with human interaction?

🤍What do we do to fix this?

👩🏽‍🤝‍👨🏼Humans use massage therapy as a treatment to find & maintain relief throughout our body. This not only benefits the body, but also our mental status.

🐴So why not continue to use this method on our equine partners?

🤍 No matter the age, physical condition, injury or if you’re horse or human…
Massage therapy stimulates the nervous system & enhances the relaxation response through increased circulation & release of musculature. This method can correct imbalances of uncoordinated muscular activation around joints during use & at rest. This ensures the body has no need to send pain signals due to malfunction of muscles or joints. This style of bodywork enables clients to regain full range of motion through joints & use energy efficiently towards movement & overall function.

👩🏽‍🤝‍👨🏼🐴 So why not use massage therapy to benefit both ourselves & our horses?

Book today & let’s get started 💕

✨CONSISTENCY✨
Hard work & maintenance is paying off! Look at Pemberley fly!

Super honoured to continue to be a part of this athlete’s team!

Such a great Sunday spent watching Pemberley work on the track, followed by her regular scheduled bodywork session afterwards.

Consistent bodywork helps to enhance body performance, such as improving endurance & recovery following all intensities of exercise while sustaining lasting effects. Encouraging balance throughout joints through muscular tension release & supporting range of motion of joints can require multiple sessions to assist the workload an equine take parts in. Massage therapy on a regular basis works towards prevention of injury as horses perform under varying competition pressures or relaxing out grazing in the pasture.

It has been a very busy few weeks! I am very excited to get back to regular posting! 🌟

The continuing education never stops!

It was very exciting to take part in the Masterson Method clinic last weekend!

I strive to provide my own unique, structure of care in my bodywork that makes it my own. One of my goals is to continually grow my knowledge and skills involving varying disciplines and perspectives in order to be versatile and continue to adapt to any case brought to my attention.

The Masterson Method’s bodywork methods are appealing due to the involvement and stimulation of the nervous system. The light-touch techniques keep the horse attentive to the process, promoting response and release of tension and management of energy.

It is very eye-opening to admire and try different methods to further build on the knowledge of equine care I’ve establish thus far.

It was also super fun to have Jack present as a demonstration and practice horse! He was very happy and soaked up all the hands-on loving he got from all who participated in the clinic 🥰

Thank you to Leslie and her assistant, Cathy, for putting on such an informative session!

🤍Happy Birthday Jack🤍

It is a very special day to celebrate the birthday & “Gotcha Day” of the face behind 💕

I am so honoured to, not only call Jack my own, but to continue experiencing all the life lessons & milestones of horse ownership & the inseparable connection made between Jack & I.

Jack is a saint who has taught me…

🌟 To chase after your dreams & goals even if others do not understand .

🌟 To stay dedicated to hard work ethic & understand sacrifice at times is needed to stay balanced.

🌟 Trusting the process is key, no matter the length of time it takes to achieve goals.

🌟 Breathe. Calming your energy will not only help yourself, but others around you.

🌟 You have a team of amazing humans who have come into your life because of your horse (this one I cannot stress enough! My equestrian family is my life now, and Jack gave me this 💕)

🌟 Prioritize your health just as much as we prioritize our horse’s health. Care for your horse and care for you .

Happy birthday & gotcha day, J 🤍
