A Toronto beauty studio is making headlines after an investigation was reportedly launched following a growing number of client reports over the past several years. According to sources, investigators reviewed appointment records, interviewed multiple witnesses, and noticed an unusually consistent pattern connected to one local brow artist.

Ashley Hernandez, 23, was arrested and is pending charges for murdering peoples boring old brows and transforming them into something much more sinister: brows that don’t need upkeep and don’t smudge off in the heat.

While being taken into custody she allegedly commented on one of the officers brows suggesting she visit her salon once she’s out free.

Nano brows on melanin-rich skin 🤎✨

One of the biggest misconceptions in PMU is that nano brows aren’t suitable for darker skin tones. The truth? With the right technique, pigment selection, and skin assessment, nano brows can heal beautifully on many dark skin clients while creating soft, realistic hair strokes.

That said, not every skin type is an ideal candidate. For clients with very deep skin tones or certain skin characteristics where healed hair strokes may have reduced visibility, an ombré powder brow can often provide a longer-lasting and more defined result. The goal is never to force a technique—it’s to choose the one that will heal the most beautifully for YOU.
