Everyone thinks working in the Service industry is easy, not physically demanding, doesnโt require much investment, and doesnโt take much time. But let me share with you the hidden side of this job from my own experience.
The work itself isnโt difficult, but it requires a lot of patience and continuous learning. It may not be physically exhausting, and you might even have free time between clients during the day, but thatโs exactly why sometimes when I feel tired or stressed, I donโt believe that my body actually needs rest. I started doing lashes almost as soon as I arrived in Canada, but it took me years to truly understand that the hardest part of working in the service industry is balancing personal life and work.
The period after the pandemic, from 2021 to early 2024, was when I was the busiest. At that time, I had only been doing lashes for about 3-4 years, and it was also the first time in my life that I was making money. I was extremely passionate and eager to learn. I took countless lash courses, always staying updated with every new trend so my clients could be among the first to experience them. I also invested in Marketing and Business Coaching programs so I could support my students, especially those starting from a home studio like I did.
During that time, I constantly worked and studied at the same time. I even took classes with teachers in Vietnam, which meant waking up at 5 a.m., then working from 10 a.m. until 12:30 or 1 a.m. the next day-every single day, nonstop ๐ซฃ
No one forced me to do it. It was simply because, for the first time, I was earning money and felt lucky, so I pushed myself as hard as I could.
Now, after nearly 8 years in the lash industry, I realize that while 8 years may sound like a long time, itโs only recently that Iโve learned how to deal with the hardest part of working. Itโs not the job itselfโitโs learning how to balance work and personal life. And I donโt just mean eating and sleeping, but being able to dedicate yourself to your work while still making time for yourself ๐ค

Definitely Angel set which is created by 100% thin spikes! I find thin spike stays better bc of the base is like a pair of chopsticks on a chopstick is better than a chopstick on a chopstick hehehe ๐ค
