Guys… you have no idea. This one is a dagger to the heart 🗡️😂 Sometimes I even tell new clients this: If I could send you home with just one product today, it would be SPF.
No matter your skin type or concern — if it’s not in your routine, it’s a must. Everything else? We can slowly build around it.
And here’s why I’m so serious about it:
UV exposure doesn’t take a season off. UVA rays the ones responsible for premature aging — are present year-round, even on cloudy days and in winter.
Daily SPF is where most people see the biggest changes in their skin over time: more even tone, less redness, fewer dark spots, better texture, and slower collagen breakdown.
Consistency > everything. That’s how real skin changes happen.
Been in the industry for over 30 years and it truly does feel like I’ve lived through it all 😂😉

2016
A year of healing after heart surgery, family loss and divorce.
A year of friendships and my baby girl and I together against the world 🥰🫶
But also one of toxic relationships, breakdowns leading to breakthroughs and a journey of self-discovery.
Wouldn’t change any of it, happy for the wisdom that came from it-
But the happiest of where I’ve landed now. 🙏🏻🫶❤️🩹
Here’s the part most people miss about hyperpigmentation.
When your skin is exposed to the sun, melanocytes (your melanin-producing cells) get activated.
If you’re already prone to pigmentation, those cells don’t just tan - they overproduce pigment in the same areas again and again.
That’s why your hyperpigmentation ‘comes back’ in the exact same spots. The melanin sites are already primed.
So when I say apply SPF 365 days a year that includes your days off 😉
Pores do not change in size! Heat, steam, and warm water soften the skin and the oil inside the pore. This makes congestion easier to remove and can temporarily make pores look more visible. When the skin cools, everything tightens slightly, giving the illusion that pores have “closed.” But the pore itself never changed size.
So why do pores appear larger?
It usually comes down to a few key factors:
• Excess oil production
• Built-up congestion or debris stretching the pore
• Dehydrated skin (yes, dry skin can still look porous)
• Loss of collagen and elasticity with age
• Genetics
Think of pores like openings in fabric. If the surrounding material is firm, hydrated, and supported, they appear smaller. When the structure weakens or gets weighed down by oil and buildup, they look larger.
The goal isn’t to “close” pores — it’s to support the skin around them.
Consistent cleansing, gentle exfoliation, proper hydration, barrier support, and collagen-stimulating treatments are what actually improve pore appearance over time.
