Some balayage from yesterday with the new L'oreal Freehand Techniques clay lightener. No foils, seran, cotton, or fuss. Love it!! Happy Week-end to everyone!

Gorgeous Maya from today. Took her from a dull faded light brown to this perfect blonde for the summer!

A new custom tone I created today! I am breaking up with using direct dyes for pastels and getting into diluting shades in a Clear medium and messing with the L'Oreal DiaLight Milkshake toners. It is a little scarier as the colour isn't true while oxidising but gives more longevity and evenness. This is 3/4 10.21 (pearl sorbet milkshake) + 3 grams 4.20 in Richesse + 1/4 Dia Light clear with 9vol for just a few hot minutes on freshly lightened level 10 hair. Olaplex all the way of course!

Big transformation for Mary today. Pale blonde to a dark warm espresso brown.
A lot of people think you can just stick a dark colour on top of blonde and it'll be fine but it turns out hollow and wishy-washy with unwanted greeny tones and a lot of unevenness because of the highlights underneath. You have to add warmth into the hair via "filling" (putting warmth back in), applying your target colour, and finishing with a gloss. I used Olaplex to add some life back into her hair. Look how shiny it is!
