Name of Tea – Cinnamon Cardamom Tea

When to drink it – The best time to drink this tea is during or after a meal, as it helps in digestion and build immunity.
Cardamom is a spice made from the seed pods of the cardamom plant a close relative to ginger and turmeric. The spice can be found as a whole pod, shelled whole seeds or ground powder.
Cinnamon is a spice that is made from the inner bark of trees scientifically known as Cinnamomum.

What it helps with –
- Improves digestion
- Eliminates bad breath
- Loaded with Antioxidants
- Lowers cholesterol levels
-Anti-inflammatory properties

Add honey to taste, if desired (Optional)

Side effects - It should be consumed in moderation as too much can lead to:
-mouth sores
-throat irritation
-shortness of breath

When to drink it – The best time to drink fennel tea is after meals, as it acts as a wonderful digestive.
Fennel is a sweet smelling herb with yellow flowers and flavour similar to Licorice. Fennel seeds can be dried and used to make a potent and strong smelling tea.

What it helps with –
- Improves digestion
- Relieves bad breath
- Reduces inflammation
- Boosts immunity

Side effects - It may cause mild side effects like:
- Nausea
- Rash, itchy skin

When to drink it – Lemon ginger tea is great anytime during the day, but it may be more effective after a meal to ease digestion.

Gingerol is the main compound in ginger. It has powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidants properties. Lemons are well known around the world for their sour flavour and for being an excellent source of Vitamin C and antioxidants.

What it helps with –
- Natural cold and sore throat remedy
- Reduces inflammation
- Boosts immunity
- Prevents nausea and bloating
- Detoxifies the body

Side effects - It may cause mild side effects in some people such as:
- Heartburn
- Upset stomach

When to drink it – Turmeric tea can be made using grated turmeric root or pure powder. Turmeric tea is perfect for sipping any time of day, but to get the full effects of relaxing and soothing properties drink it about half an hour before bedtime.

What it helps with -
- Boosts the immune system
- Reduces arthritis symptoms
- Lowers cholesterol
- Reduces inflammation

Side effects - Mild side effects include nausea and stomach acidity. Consuming large doses of turmeric also increases the risk of kidney stone formation.

Today we will be reviewing Lemongrass Tea. Lemongrass has a fresh, lemony aroma and a citrus flavour.

When to drink it - Lemongrass Tea is caffeine free and can be enjoyed all day.

What it helps with:
- Soothing digestive problems
- Relieving anxiety
- Helping boost Immunity
- Antibacterial and anti-fungal properties of lemongrass help in healing cold, cough and flu

Side effects - Lemongrass is safe when consumed in small amounts as too much can lead to dry mouth, rash and dizziness.

Though both Mint tea and Green tea have their own benefits, I personally like to drink Mint tea as it's caffeine free, can be enjoyed at any time of the day, improves digestion and has a refreshing taste.

Oregano Tea

This was my first time making and drinking oregano tea. Overall, it has a peppery and slightly bitter taste to it. It is something you would only consider drinking with lemon or a sweetener.

The best time to drink Oregano tea is after a meal to ease digestion.

What it helps with
- Reduce gas and indigestion
- Prevents common cold, cough and sore
throat
- High in Antioxidants
- Anti-inflammatory

Side effects Excessive consumption of Oregano can upset your stomach causing nausea, vomiting and diarrhea .

Tulsi Tea

Based on my experience, Tulsi tea is naturally caffeine -free, can be enjoyed throughout the day, from morning to night. I have been using Tulsi Tea throughout the last 5 years to help when I have cold and cough , also to enhance immunity.

What it helps with
- Reduce overall stress and anxiety
- Prevents cold and cough
- Enhance immunity
- Anti-inflammatory

You can add a teaspoon of honey and a half tablespoon of lemon
juice for extra flavor.

Side effects - While consumed in small amounts of eugenol can prevent toxin-induced damage in the liver, too much of it can cause liver damage, nausea, diarrhea, rapid heartbeat and convulsions.
