Tips to maintain your toner

1. Don’t wash your hair until 2-3 days after your colour appt.

2. Avoid heat. Hot sun as well. Don’t go higher than 350d with your styling tools. Even with your blow dryer, avoid the hottest setting of you can.

3. Always use leave in conditioner. It closes the cuticle, locking the colour in.

4. Colour depositing shampoos/conditioner/masks will help maintain the colour as well.

5. Wash hair with cold water. It noticeably makes your hair less pouffy when drying. It’s all about keeping your cuticle closed. I can’t live without my Schwarzkopf hair sealer. It’s helped my hair feel healthier, and much more manageable.

COLOUR CORRECTION
Two ways to eliminate orange:
*lightening with bleach and lifting past the orange to yellow
*a cool (blue) colour/toner/shampoo

Remember! colour always fades back to what it was lifted to underneath, so if you choose the toning option, it’s not a permanent fix and will have to retone/colour when it all washes out of your hair.
