Our Final Brain Food is Cantaloupe! Summer is Here!

Cantaloupe melon makes a refreshing snack in the summer, and it contains nutrients that can benefit a person’s health.

The water, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals in cantaloupe can provide a variety of health benefits.

Antioxidants, for example, can help prevent cell damage that can lead to cancer and other health conditions.

With its high water and electrolyte contents, cantaloupe is a good choice for boosting hydration during hot summer months or after a workout.

😁We wish all our Classmates have a great & relaxing Summer! Enjoy!

Today's brain food is CABBAGE!!
Which do you prefer? RED or GREEN CABBAGE??

Cabbage is full of vitamin A, C and K. It boosts your concentration and improves defense against Alzheimer's disease. Red cabbage is significantly higher in vitamins then green cabbage. However, it may come down to taste for you.
FUN FACT: If you make coleslaw with red cabbage it turns into a Eastery pink colour, which makes your guests look at it funny 😆
Don't ask me how I know 🤔

Today's Brain Food: Ginger!

Ginger is loaded with antioxidants, compounds that prevent stress and damage to your body’s DNA. They may help your body fight off chronic diseases like high blood pressure, heart disease, and diseases of the lungs, plus promote healthy aging.

A daily dose of ginger may help you battle your “bad” or LDL cholesterol levels. In a recent study, taking 5 grams of ginger a day for 3 months lowered people’s LDL cholesterol an average of 30 points.

Today's Brain Food: Broccoli!
One cup of broccoli has as much vitamin C as an orange. You need this antioxidant to protect your cells from damage and promote healing throughout your body.

Broccoli is also rich in vitamins and minerals like:

Iron
Phosphorous
Potassium
Zinc
Thiamin
Riboflavin
Niacin
Vitamins A, B6, B12, D, E and K
Folate

It also boasts more protein than most other vegetables. This green veggie can be enjoyed both raw and cooked, but recent research shows that gentle steaming provides the most health benefits.
