Humectants all attract moisture, but they’re not all the same ! BBB how they behave, how strongly they pull water, and how they interact with climate varies.

Using the wrong humectant in the wrong environment is one of the biggest reasons textured hair feels:
• Dry
• Sticky
• Frizzy
• Or inconsistently moisturized

🍯 Honey

What it does:
• Natural humectant + emollient
• Attracts moisture while also lightly sealing it
• Adds shine and softness
• Has antibacterial properties (great for scalp health)

Best for:
• High-porosity hair
• Dry, brittle hair
• Hair prone to breakage

Best climates:
• Dry to moderate humidity
• Winter when paired with a sealant
• Controlled indoor environments

Avoid when Hair is already coated with heavy products (can feel sticky)

What it does:
• Lightweight humectant
• Helps balance scalp pH

• Enhances curl definition

Best for:
• Low to medium porosity hair
