New year, new policy! The RCMP eases up on cannabis use, focusing on fitness for duty. Cheers to progress and a modernized approach. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ

The RCMP has eased its policy on cannabis use by members, saying simply they must be fit for duty when reporting for work.

The new substance use policy replaces a 2018 rule that required front-line officers and many other employees in "safety-sensitive" positions to refrain from recreational cannabis use for four weeks before duty.

The change, implemented earlier this month, brings the Mounties in line with many other police forces on employee pot use.

The peace pipe, an iconic symbol of unity and peace among Native American tribes, often featured cannabis as one of the components used in its ceremonial smoking blend. Cannabis played a significant role in these rituals, as it was believed to enhance spiritual connections and promote harmony within the community. The combination of the peace pipe and cannabis fostered a sense of tranquility, understanding, and shared experiences among those who partook in these ancient traditions. ๐Ÿค

Building on the historical traditions of unity and cannabis. Many people continue to come together and share a joint as a way to foster social connections and promote a sense of camaraderie. Rolling and passing a joint has become a modern symbol of friendship, relaxation, and shared experiences. In this way, cannabis continues to serve as a bridge, bringing people from diverse backgrounds together in a moment of communal enjoyment and shared appreciation. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’จโœจ

This past weekend, I was reasoning with a Rasta Elder who reminded me of the significance of 420 in Rastafarian history? This day, now known as "High Selassie Day," is commemorated by Rastafarians on 420, as it was on April 21, 1966 that the High Selassie visited Jamaica. 420 is a time of celebration, reverence, and reflection on his teachings and legacy. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ”ฅ

But it's not just a day of festivities. The Elder also reminded me of "The Coral Gardens Massacre" which took place on April 11, 1963. Jamaican police detained and brutally tortured Rastafarians throughout Western Jamaica, following alleged orders from the then Prime Minister.

This time is also a painful reminder of the discrimination and persecution that Rastafarians have faced for their religious beliefs and cultural practices.

As we celebrate 420 across Canada and Jamaica, today can also serve as a powerful reminder of the importance of promoting understanding and respect for g***a culture. One Love, One Heart, One Unity! ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒ

Big news!๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฟ Traditional g***a farmers in Jamaica are finally getting the support they deserve! ๐Ÿ’š

The Minister is pushing to remove all fees for small-scale traditional cannabis growers for two years, giving them the chance to thrive in the medical cannabis game. Including reducing any need for imports.

It's been a long time coming, and we're glad to see traditional g***a farmers get the recognition they've fought for! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ

Can you believe this? A Canadian cannabis company is trying to mess with the Jamaican G***a industry?

This company shipped 20 Kilos of Canadian cannabis to Jamaica, and the company responsible insists this will help the local industry, despite local G***a farmers, legal and research experts, saying NO it wonโ€™t and have provided evidence to the contrary.

And get this - Canada prohibits the sale of g***a from Jamaica in its commercial market.

But this Canadian company thinks they knows better. A Canadian company owner knows what the G***a industry in Jamaica and that is imports from Canada - not better safeguards and systems to enable local G***a farmers.

Apparently the owner visited Jamaica 6 times this year and this Canadian is the expert.

Seriously! Does this sound familiar?
