I’ve been getting my hair cut by Ali for over 25 years—from Lebanon to Windsor and Toronto. There was even a time I would drive all the way to Toronto just to sit in his chair.

Ali was mastering this craft when many of today’s barbers were still in diapers. Over the years, he has cut everyone from everyday working men to princes and members of royal families in the Middle East, as well as Drake, Taim Hassan, Karl Wolf, Kevin O’Leary, Matt Dillon, Massari, Belly and many others.

The one person I always wished he could have cut was my idol, Kobe Bryant. Knowing Ali’s obsession with excellence and knowing what Kobe stood for, I genuinely wish those two could have met.

What has always separated Ali is his standard. Immaculately clean, exceptionally classy, always dressed like a king and carrying himself like a gentleman. He doesn’t simply cut your hair—he makes you feel like royalty.

I always joke that Ali wouldn’t even p**s the wrong way if he thought it would make the barber profession look bad. That’s how seriously he takes his craft and his reputation.

After 25+ years, I can confidently say: there are barbers, there are great barbers—and then there’s Ali.
