Patients are constantly exposed to new devices, treatments, and trends that promise to reverse facial aging. Some are backed by science. Others rely more on marketing than meaningful clinical results. The challenge is that facial aging is complex.
Different treatments target different concerns, and no single product, device, or procedure does it all. The strongest treatments remain simple: daily sun protection, retinoids, neuromodulators such as Botox, and appropriately selected professional treatments.
Understanding which treatments are supported by evidence, what their limitations are, and which are most appropriate for your specific concerns is key. Many at-home devices can offer modest improvements, but often fall short of the results suggested by marketing claims. Swipe through for an evidence-based look at what the science actually shows.

Natural rhinoplasty does not mean limited results.
This result was achieved through a series of relatively modest changes: straightening a crooked nose, reducing tip projection, refining a subtle dorsal hump, and improving tip position.
Individually, each change is small.
Together, they completely change how the nose is perceived.
Great rhinoplasty rarely relies on one dramatic maneuver. More often, it is the accumulation of multiple thoughtful refinements that creates a result that is both impactful and natural.
In my practice, patient safety is always the top priority. For my patients, I typically recommend general anesthesia.
In my experience, it provides a more controlled and predictable operating environment, which supports both safety and surgical precision. With sedation, there is a narrower margin where under-sedation may lead to discomfort, while over-sedation can increase the risk of airway compromise.
General anesthesia allows the surgical team and me to focus fully on the procedure while maintaining a highly controlled setting for patient safety and comfort.
If you have questions about anesthesia options, feel free to leave a comment or send me a message.

This young patient had always felt his neck appeared full and wanted more definition between the neck and chin. Importantly, he wished to avoid incisions around the ears and did not have significant facial aging.
Given that his concerns were primarily in the anterior neck, I performed a deep neck lift (also known as a “short scar neck lift”) using a single incision hidden beneath the chin. He also had a mildly recessed chin, so I performed fat grafting to the chin to help improve overall jawline balance.
Seeing both the results and the improvement in confidence in my patients is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

Patients often ask which breast augmentation technique is “best.”
The more useful question is why a particular approach is being recommended. Subfascial and dual plane are different tools, each with specific advantages depending on the patient and the patients goals.

Always valuable to step away from the operating room and spend time where ideas are challenged, techniques are refined, and our field continues to evolve.
This year’s Aesthetic MEET was a privilege to participate in as faculty, and a great opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and friends whose work continues to shape our field.
Academic meetings like this matter because thoughtful discussion and shared experience ultimately lead to better care for patients.

Achieving a sculpted neck and defined jawline is not a one-size-fits-all approach. For my patients, I take a personalized strategy to improving neck contour based on their anatomy and degree of aging.
For those without significant facial aging, my most common recommendations include liposuction, liposuction with skin tightening (Renuvion), or
a mini neck lift.
With abdominoplasty, commonly referred to as a tummy tuck, one of the key safety priorities is reducing the risk of blood clots. Longer procedures and individual factors, such as being postpartum, can increase risk, which is why this is something I take very seriously from the very beginning.
Every patient receives a personalized plan that includes careful assessment, preventative measures during surgery, and thorough post-op guidance to reduce the risks.

To all of my Toronto and Greater Toronto Area patients who have recently undergone a rejuvenation procedure such as a facelift, laser treatment, or skin resurfacing, I typically recommend a simple recovery routine: a gentle moisturizer, silicone scar gel, and mineral sunscreen.
In my experience with my patients, these three essentials help support a more comfortable and smooth recovery.
