In this video, I’m explaining one of my formulation choices: I do not add 🍬 to my face creams.
Why? Because sugar is one of the first nutrient sources for bacteria and microorganisms.

As a biochemist and cosmetic formulator, my priority is skin safety, stability, and long-term skin health. For me, minimizing unnecessary bacterial “food” in a formula is part of that responsibility.

That being said — and this is very important — some skincare formulators may not agree with me, and that’s perfectly okay. 🌿
Formulation is both a science and an art. Different formulators have different philosophies, techniques, and preservation systems. That diversity is the beauty of cosmetic formulation.

There is no single absolute way — only informed choices backed by knowledge, experience, and intention.
