Jojoba, pronounced as ho•ho•buh, is really NOT an oil, but rather a liquid wax! 😮 The chemical composition of Jojoba oil, or better say wax, closely resembles the sebum found in human skin!

🌰In the 18th century, a Native American tribe who discovered the versatility Jojoba seeds, ground the seeds into a buttery salve for skin and hair treatment. It was used in hot beverages and sometimes eaten for survival during raids and hunts.

🐳Before the 1970s, s***m whale oil products were widely used in the cosmetic industry. But when whale hunting became illegal, all s***m whale oil products were banned from cosmetics. Thus, came in Jojoba Oil, which later was discovered to be superior in many ways than its predecessors! 🙌

Although 2020 wasn't the year we hoped for, there's always something positive that emerges from bad times, may it be little.

For me, 2020 was the year I got to know my neighborhood - those wonderful people I met while walking with my kids, who would wave and smile from a far without knowing us, who detour-ed from their pathway (social distancing) so I wouldn't have to (it's not easy with kids 😅), who had put up signs on their yard that read, "Black Lives Matter," & other positive messages.

2020 was the year I saw Nature up-close, appreciated the winter sunsets from our windows (SWIPE 👉to see the last sunset of 2020), the seeds that fell from trees finally sprouting in spring all over front lawns, and much more.

Can't forget to mention the launch of Hadiya Soaps in 2020! Motivated by the dry-cracking hands due to extreme hand- washing and use of sanitizer! (More on this story later 😊)

Carrying on these positive images from 2020 to 2021, we hope this new year brings about more positivity for all ❤
