this is a hard thing for me to talk about… weightloss!
before my dad died i was doing SO incredible with staying on track and working on my food addiction. since his death im super proud of myself for staying consistent with movement but food…. food, grief, addiction. it’s SO HARD. i have definitely gained weight these last few months. they’ve been the hardest months mentally. but i haven’t given up.
i might be a work in progress but at least i keep showing up for myself đź’›
so this is where we’re at… not where i want to be but not where i was.

Just a lengthy little yap 🫶🏻
I constantly feel like I’m behind everyone else in life. Like somehow I’m not where I thought I’d be by now. And in a way, that’s true.
I never imagined I’d have buried both of my parents by 32.
My mom’s brain aneurysm changed my childhood overnight, and the 12 years between that day and her death were filled with trauma and anticipatory grief. Then, years later, finding my dad dead suddenly.
Sometimes I compare my life to people my age, forgetting that while many were building careers, planning weddings, or starting families, I was surviving losses that reshaped my entire world. Of course my timeline looks different.
Maybe we’re not behind.
Maybe we’ve just had a different journey. 🤍
