This was my breakfast today. It will be my breakfast for the next several days. Oatmeal, the best tasting protein on the market, couple strawberries and a tablespoon of peanut butter.
I was eating this a few years ago everyday while I prepped to compete in a regional physique show. This breakfast was my favorite meal back then.
Such a great balanced meal of carbs, protein and fat. Putting on muscle or leaning out this is the way to go. I vary the proportions as needed. Can substitute any one of these ingredients with something else, but for a quick easy and delicious meal I add hot water and I’m good to go.

It’s about this time of the year where a lot of people hang up the swimsuit, put away the sunscreen and begin to say farewell to the progress they made not long ago in preparation for the summer.
Don’t bid farewell to the gains completely. Don’t welcome back all the weight you worked so hard to lose. If you want to scale back, scale back, but honour the work you’ve done this season and carry it forward through the fall. I guarantee the “summer 2022 you” will thank you for it!

The dreaded cardio… the more you learn, the more you grow. Be sure to understand what type of cardio is best for your goals. Not all cardio is beneficial for leaning out, building muscle, cardiovascular conditioning. None of it will hurt but important to know that some are better than others. Steady-state, HIIT, HVIT, aerobic, anaerobic…
Do you know your resting heart rate? Do know the ideal heart rate you should be targeting? How long should the workout be?
I like to distract myself by watching Olympic ping pong. Unreal how fast the game is 😂 Then before I know it, 20 minutes in the books!
Some people collect classic cars, I have classic cardio equipment. Both these babies are getting me from point A to B. Destination shredville.
