Gender affirming haircare is something I’m very passionate about, I know that the salon experience can be daunting for some so I wanted to create a guide that centers the client and to help them navigate talking about their hair with a professional.

Here are some of my tips to help you get the most out of your consultation as well as how to help find stylists in your area that will curate a safe space for you and help you achieve the hair of your dreams!

My name is Réaltíne, I am a woman of trans experience and I’ve been in the hair & beauty industry for 13 years

My journey began as a hair model where I spent the day in a salon, watching the magic and joy of transformation and I thought to myself I want to do this for people.

I’ve felt lost in life, not liked what I saw in the mirror but through learning to love myself by allowing myself to be the real me 13 years later the joy I’ve found in the service I provide has only amplified.

I’m a hairdresser because I want to help people of all genders feel good in the hair they’re in, to help lost people find themselves and to create a space where we can all love ourselves and smile at the person looking back at us in the mirror.

After 11 years in the industry I have found the best way for me to face to day is with an ice cold can of Diet Coke, a fresh set of acrylics and an open heart to meet my clients and help them to feel beautiful 🥰

Ok so I’ve been in full bellami babe mode since Vegas and I’m living!

Created this look by doing a face frame
of highlights and adding 3 packs of 16” tape in the extensions!

One of my fave things about tapes is being able to cut them so you can really fill in around the hairline!

I also did some custom colouring on some tapes so that we could have the deep purple you see ( swipe for under the hood shot)

Another great thing about extensions is that we can create these more dramatic shapes on shorter haired clients! Giving them even more options to play around with!

It’s been a minute since I got down with a colour change, I was so happy when this client asked to go for something lighter and warmer!

I did a gentle detox, followed by some lightening oil and then a global colour all over. Love the end result
