There is a lot behind Ritu’s care.
Ritu is a lifelong learner, deeply invested in her work, and, yes, a bit of a 😉
With education in physiotherapy, manual osteopathy, osteopathic studies, and naprapathy, Ritu brings a deeply informed, whole-body perspective to her work. Her approach considers not only where pain is showing up, but also the movement patterns, mobility restrictions, tissue tension, posture, and everyday factors that may be contributing to it.
Over the years, Ritu has helped hundreds of Continuum patients feel more comfortable, move with greater ease, and better understand their own bodies. Her knowledge is extensive, but what clients often notice most is how carefully she listens, explains, and tailors care to their individual needs.
Swipe through to learn more about her training and a few words from the people she has helped along the way.

As therapists, one of the treatments we really appreciate having at Continuum is Shockwave Therapy.
We’re on our feet all day, working with our hands, shoulders, and forearms, and we know from experience what it’s like to deal with overuse injuries, tendon pain, and aches that stay with us after the workday ends.
And as a clinic with more than a few of us who are “mature therapists” 😄, we’ve also learned that hormonal changes can make us more susceptible to conditions like plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, and other tendon-related injuries.
That’s one of the reasons we’re so grateful to have shockwave therapy available in-house with Dr. Karen.
Despite its name, shockwave therapy doesn’t use electric shocks. It uses acoustic (sound) waves to stimulate healing in injured tissues and support the body’s natural repair process.
Thankfully, the only thing shocking about shockwave therapy is how effective it can be when nothing else seems to be working.
Dr. Karen commonly uses shockwave therapy to help with:
✓ Plantar fasciitis
✓ Tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow
✓ Shoulder and rotator cuff tendon injuries
✓ Achilles tendon pain
✓ Frozen shoulder
✓ Other chronic tendon and soft tissue injuries
If you’re dealing with an injury, chronic tendon pain, or a condition that’s been lingering longer than you’d like, shockwave therapy may be worth exploring.
Have questions? We’d be happy to help determine if it’s a good fit for you.

Magnolia season on Melrose. 🌸
It’s the most wonderful time of the year imo. The blooms last for about 1-2 weeks, and all of us at the clinic look forward to it. It’s hard to rush past it on our way to work, but maybe that’s the point?
This year has been a bit more grey and cool, but if anything, it makes the blooms feel even brighter as we wait for warmer weather.
It’s also a reminder that Mother’s Day is around the corner. A good time to be that brightness in the life of a mom you love. A kind word, a thoughtful note, flowers, or a massage gift card, something that helps her slow down for a moment.
If you’re still looking for a last-minute gift, you can find online gifting made easy with our customizable gift cards available on our website.
Happy Mother’s Day from all of us. 💕

“Attention is the rarest and purest form of generosity.” — Simone Weil
I love this quote.
We are living in a time where our attention is constantly being pulled in different directions. Companies and media spend billions trying to capture it. The state of the world asks for it. And somewhere in all of that, it’s easy to forget that we can choose to slow down, to say no to the noise, and to be present.
Which is why it feels so good to be on the receiving end of real attention.
To have someone who is fully there with you and who listens.
It reminds me of the work we do as therapists.
At Continuum, our work is rooted in relationship. When you come in, it is not just a treatment. It is about having someone who is truly paying attention. Someone who is attuned to what is happening in your body, not just going through the motions. That is where meaningful work begins, and where change has a chance to happen.
If that kind of care resonates with you, we’re here.

Meet Eric Chen, RMT 👋
Eric’s been with us for over a year and has been an amazing addition to our clinical team.
He came into massage therapy through climbing (and the inevitable injuries that come with it), and you can feel that lived experience in how he works. He’s attentive, thoughtful, and really takes the time to understand what your body needs.
He also has a great sense of humour, which tends to come out once you get to know him a bit 😊
You can find him at the clinic three days a week including on the weekend and in the evenings offering both therapeutic and relaxation massage, as well as these add-ons:
• massage + hot stone
• massage + assisted stretch
• massage + sports and rehab
• massage + TMJ
• massage + prenatal
• massage + cupping (coming soon)
If you’ve been curious about booking with him or looking for a new RMT, I’d say he’s very much worth getting to know! Book online through our website or give us a call ☎️

When was the last time your treatment included manual therapy on your abdomen?
It’s an important and often overlooked area of the body.
The abdomen houses your digestive & reproductive organs, major blood vessels, and a dense network of lymphatic vessels and drainage pathways. A significant portion of the body’s lymphatic flow moves through the deep abdominal region, making it central to fluid balance, immune support, and overall vitality.
It’s also an area where we hold stress, brace protectively, and often carry the imprint of surgery or scar tissue.
At Continuum, abdominal care can include:
1️⃣ Massage to support digestion and circulation
2️⃣ Lymphatic work to reduce fluid congestion
3️⃣ myoActivation for post-surgical scar release and improved mobility
4️⃣ Somatic techniques to ease subconscious stress-related tension
5️⃣ Osteopathic fascial work to optimize organ health & alignment
6️⃣ Acupuncture to support digestion and hormone regulation
7️⃣ Reiki to release what’s no longer needed and balance energetic flow
8️⃣ Chiro care to support spinal and pelvic alignment
We believe the body works as an integrated system — structural, visceral, nervous, and energetic. When we include the abdomen in treatment, we often see deeper shifts than expected.
Curious if abdominal work could support you?
Ask your therapist at your next visit, or send us an email with your questions. We’re always happy to guide you toward the right approach for your body.
Healing doesn’t happen in isolated parts. It happens in relationship. 🌿

This has been a long time coming!
For almost 20 years, has been growing and evolving. The vision and mission have always been embodied in how we work but translating that into a clear visual identity was the missing piece.
I found the branding process was as much about creating as it was about letting go of limiting beliefs. A reminder to myself that it’s never too late, and that progress matters more than perfection.
I’m so grateful to have collaborated with Jodi .ca to translate years of lived experience into a visual that feels calm, grounded, and strong.
It feels really good to finally have an official Continuum logo and brand identity. One that reflects where we’ve been and where we’re heading next.
Care that continues.
📌 Curious about the details? You can read more about the thought and intention behind the design by swiping through the slides or in the pinned comment below. I would love to hear your thoughts …. and best merch ideas!! Hoodies? Swag? 😁
