12 years ago I met Colleen at a club. I told her she's lovely and I should be her hairdresser. Usually I tell people something I could fix but she was one of the few times a compliment turned into a life long friendship! So I guess it's ok to be nice sometimes :)

I've been a hairdresser for 20 years you may have seen me before COVID dressed as a super hero giving haircuts around the city. This was something I loved doing and built my business from nothing to something really special. Fully booked all the time till COVID came and took it all away. So Toronto health and safety came to my tiny little hair salon that has just been ravaged by covid and told me I have to install a sink to wash my hands in cause I can't use the hair washing station that I've been using for almost 20 years. Honestly I'm $24,000 in debt thanks to covid. Shutting me down for 3 years and never recovered. Before that I was thriving.

So if you're in need of a hairdresser or used to come and want to come back that would be great. I have less hours of availability now because I've taken on a job as a crossing guard to be able to try to pay off some of the debt. It really sucks cuz I've taken care of myself since I was 19. Now I'm 38 and it's the first time in my life that I have debt.

If my business doesn't get better within the next 5 months or so. I'm shutting it down and I'll probably never do hair again. So I don't know. Just putting that out there.

It's so insane that I put so much work into something and built it for 20 years and loved it so much!

I also refuse to charge less than what I'm worth.

I put my heart and soul into cutting hair and appreciate the friendships made over the past couple decades.

I been self employed for almost 20 years so it's very hard to get up and be on the street holding a stop sign for 18$ an hour when I know all I'd have to do is get a couple haircuts in and I'd be making more and loving life. To grow old with your friends is the greatest.

I don't want any hand outs I just want to be able to do my job.

If you know good peeps with a salon that might want me part time tell them bout me too.
