This week I worked with an animal whose owner was struggling with repeated behavior they couldn't understand.

The behavior wasn't random at all.

Once we connected, what came through pointed toward an environmental stressor that had been overlooked. Small changes created a big shift.

Animals are constantly communicating. Sometimes they are expressing emotions, physical discomfort, preferences, or simply trying to help us understand their experience.

I continue to be amazed by what they share.

Horses are always trying to communicate with us. They often use manure as a poultice. This horse has a subluxation in one of the upper thoracic ribs, making his trapezius muscles tight and tender. Notice how he even treated the rib! It's our job to listen.
