Coming up with content isn't easy, especially if your passion became your talent and the skill needed to build your business based on your talent isn't a passion...know what I mean? A common thing i ask myself often is "can you be both talented and have the skills to market yourself effectively to have a sustainable business?" After 10+ years of entrepreneurship and 20+ years in the industry, my answe is still no...for me. I'm trying tho, but it's daunting having to "prove" yourself and "show" the work of 20 years experience in an image or a 30 sec video. I mean, this is why social media companies exist. It is a job within itself. I am, what they call, a - everything is on me, the product, the service, the marketing, the accounting etc...I thank God im still here, and I dont plan to go anywhere unless life leads me to something better. This came up in fb memories. I can't help but compare then and now. At the time of this picture on this date in 2014, it mirrored my life - closed for renovations. Personally and professionally (my marriage was ending and I was opening up the Avenue rd. location). I was in a process of ,of myself and the business, figuring out the logistics of what was going to now be my new life as a single mother and business owner and all that comes with fulfilling those titles. I find myself going through a similar process of re-invention again. Then and now, since the , I am filled with mixed emotions - sadness, fear, loneliness, yet hopeful, excited for the future, but mourning the (now possible) loss of what I worked so hard to build. I remind myself that what came to fruition from that really difficult time was better than I had. I remind myself that in times of adversity and uncertainty, as painful as it is, life only gets more harmonious and abundant. Things always fall into place as they should. And this time will be no different! I don't know what the future holds, but I know I will do to my best ability, lead without fear and be in full faith that only better awaits in ...patience is a virtue and virtue is grace. Anyone else feeling the re-invention vibes? What are you doing to prepare your life ? Be well my friends, love you, can't wait to see you again ❤

Perspective 😉 Friday thought: Of course as a woman and I am a bit obsessed with anti aging - but not as much as you may think! I truly feel lifestyle is key! Eating well (anti oxidant rich foods & whole foods in general are your friend) exercising, sleep and taking the time to care for your skin are important. I'm not against peels, needles, lasers etc, as long as it doesn't alter your appearance or break you bank. I'm always about less is more, I tell all my clients keep it simple, massaging the face and getting blood circulating is key along with a few necessary skin care products!! My philosophy is trying to preserve as naturally and minimally *as possible*. And last but not least, being and doing what makes you HAPPY is the fountain of youth, after all "happy girls are the prettiest". Happy Friday my beauties!! 😘♥️
