Same hair. Same color. Different lighting. ✨
These photos are the exact same hair, but look how different the tone appears depending on the lighting.
One was taken with my ring light, while the other was taken in natural/ambient lighting at night — so there was actually no sunlight coming through at all. 🌙
The color can appear cooler, brighter, deeper, more silvery or more dimensional depending on the light source. And one doesn’t necessarily look better than the other — they’re simply different representations of the same color. 🤍
Natural daylight, nighttime lighting, warm indoor lights, ring lights… your hair will look slightly different in every setting.
So if your hair looks different at home than it did in the salon, it doesn’t necessarily mean your color changed — the lighting did.
That’s the beauty of dimensional color: it’s not meant to look like one flat shade in every light. ✨
