If you’ve been thinking about going out on your own but aren’t quite ready to take the full leap, this might be exactly what you’re looking for.

About a year and a half ago, I was in the same position. I knew I needed a change, but I was nervous. I didn’t want to keep working for someone else, but I also wasn’t ready to commit to opening my own space.

So I started by subletting just one day a week.

It was an easy, affordable way to test the waters, and the commitment felt completely manageable.

Fast forward to today, and I now have my own studio full-time. I’m excited to be opening my doors to another stylist who’d like to rent the space on Sundays.

The studio is located in the growing Leaside neighbourhood, surrounded by great shopping, cafés, parking and plenty of amenities.

If you’re curious or have any questions, I’d love to chat. Feel free to send me a message, and if someone comes to mind, I’d really appreciate you sharing this with them!

When I say it’s in the details; I don’t just mean your hair.

Sometimes I do ART things. So happy to see so many familiar faces at another great show. has forever been one of my favourite artists, if you were around for the In’I days then you already know. has some of the coolest ideas that he has brought to life, I was in awe. He casually told me that anyone could do it… idk David 🤣

I get alot of messages asking about pricing.
I’ve decided to start posting some of my extension work with the pricetag.
This doesn’t mean your price would be the same but hopefully it helps give you all an idea of how beautiful and affordable your hair can be!
This was an install for added volume and a little extra length (not much because this clients hair was roughly the same length to start). We gave her blonde highlights in her natural hair then bumped up her blonde using two different coloured extensions.

Just using my child with zero fear of being in front of the camera to try to get over mine 😅 📸
Things change in our industry all the time and social media is one of those things… what doesn’t change is the brand, and we are our brand! Which means we constantly have to push ourselves to step out of our comfort zones and get behind what’s trending… whether it’s new foiling techniques, styling tools, product knowledge or creating content. I grew up in a generation that did not have to do this… I did platform work with live audiences at huge trade shows, fashion shows, education and even a few small tv performances but the difference with content is that you have to film it, edit it and then be brave enough to accept the things you don’t like about yourself and press the share button. It takes a whole different type of courage imo.
Like why do I sing my sentences???
I don’t know but it’s definitely something I’ll be working on 🤣
Thanks to my partner in crime here, Danville Graham, the real star ⭐️

Let’s talk natural fallout…. as a hairstylist I get asked a lot about fallout. Here’s the deal; our hair (over our entire body) is on a “fall-out” cycle. Old hair falls out, new hair grows in and so on and so on. This is why sometimes our eyebrows or eyelashes can seem a little more full or a little shorter at times, all depending on the cycle. The same goes for the hair on our heads! On average, we lose 70-150 hairs per day!! So don’t worry when you see hair coming out when you brush, or when you collect a little hairball after shampooing, this is normal. Of course, if you have curly hair and/or don’t shampoo/brush very often then the hair that would normally fall away or get collected when brushing will accumulate in your locks and will look like a lot more on wash day. There are some circumstances where the cycle can get disturbed. This may include (but is not limited to) puberty, pregnancy, breastfeeding, male pattern baldness, alopecia, female pattern baldness, menopause, extreme diet changes or weight loss, medication, chemotherapy and some other illnesses. With a well balanced lifestyle full of healthy choices we can usually find a balance to keep our heads full of healthy hair! Equally important is choosing good quality products for hair care. Low quality products (drugstore brands) are full of waxes, parabens, sulphates, fragrances, dyes and numerous other ‘filler’ products. Low quality products can damage your hair, build up on both hair and scalp often clogging pores disrupting the new hair growth cycle. Stylist recommended products will preserve your colour, aid in your styling aspirations and nurture your hair and scalp. Talk to your stylist next time you’re in the chair and have them put together a haircare, scalp care routine for you!
