FOR ADOPTION: Jem Is a 9 week old puppy from Manitoba.

Jem would do well with an individual, couple or a family who will be respectful of all that comes with having and training a puppy. An older fur sibling and a yard to play in would be definite assets for this girl as afterall, she is part husky.

If you are only looking to adopt a puppy because they're cute and you always wanted one?
Jem is not the puppy for you.
Why?
Because she will be a puppy for a short time.
She will however be a full sized dog throughout her lifetime, so you need to have an understanding of all it entails and understand the commitment involved.

Huskies and mixes are generally not what we consider apartment or condo dogs out of the gate due to their high exercise needs and the fact that they howl vs bark. We are looking for families who will be committed to their dog as much as they are committed to their children. Where obedience training, just for socialization and learning the rules of engagement on how to be a stellar adult dog will be a given instead of a chore.
Why?
Huskies are one of the most frequently surrendered breeds to shelters because nobody took the time to invest in their training, nor tend to their exercise needs, they are amazing dogs, when, in amazing hands.
They are greatly misunderstood when not.

Puppies are cute, yes, but, they are also alot of work.
Other than the potty training, perfect well mannered dogs are not born, they are trained, and Gem will need a family who will work with her and ensure she remains her stellar self throughout her lifetime.
