It’s kinda surreal how much attention this movie is getting, compared to any other project I have been a part of in my film career.

Below is the Breakfast Television interview of Catherine McNally I had the pleasure of creating the most wild and large hairstyles each day on set. It was some of my funnest work to date and working with Catherine was such a pleasure.

Well, here’s the first look for the very hush-hush project I was asked to join in October - when we first began our journey on this film for the next few months. I was unsure of what I was getting myself into, but I am so glad I accepted this be part of this.

What. A. Ride.

To echo much of what .boulet said, Did I ever think I would be part of any project relating to Donald Trump? Never.
Did I ever think I would be tasked to recreate hairstyles of the one of the most documented & despised American families? No. Analyze, research and assist an iconic melting ice cream/pancake-hybrid swoop of a hairdo of a character portrayal I loathe with every fibre of my being? Also NO.

Subject matter aside, this was one of the funnest and creatively fulfilling projects I’ve been on.
It was a serious labour of love where all three wildly talented HMU/prosthetics departments shared one tight, but harmonious trailer together.

As I say goodbye to 2023, I can’t help but feel incredibly grateful for what life has thrown at me.
It was a bittersweet year of highs and lows.
I know many who didn’t know me before I moved to Toronto in 2019, did not see what struggles lead me to be where I am today. If you only knew.
I don’t really recognize that version of myself from before that time.
I have been busting my ass for over 15 years, and I feel like it’s just finally paying off for me in huge ways. This is your sign to keep going, because I never would have thought that would happen to me. I thought this would forever be a pipe dream.
Sounds cliche to say, but it’s true.
I never thought I would ever be good enough, be recognized; I suffered badly from imposter’s syndrome for many years… and still kinda do. I used to be one of those people plagued with constant bad luck with practically everything in my life. It was kinda an ongoing joke. I say this only because I think people think I’ve had it easy street; I haven’t.
I also feel I have some very special people looking over me. I’m not overly religious, but I do believe in the spiritual world and beyond.
Earlier this year, I suffered a tremendous loss of someone who was very close to me. I have suffered mostly in silence, and it’s still very difficult for me.
But like most things I’ve endured in my life, I channel the pain to motivate me, because that’s what they would have wanted.
I’ve learned this year be gentle with myself, take it slow, take breaks without guilt, detach from ego, absorb advice and learn from my mentors. I am astonished by the insanely talented people around me wanting to push me to do better as an artist and hair stylist. And who want to work with me.
It has not been an easy year for a lot of us, but I remain positive for what’s to come.
I have two big projects in the works. I couldn’t be more honoured to be asked to join their talented teams.
I’m still in a bit of shock need to give myself a pinch every few days.
But if all you did was survive this year, that’s a success too. We are all facing struggles and battles we all don’t know about… if I can take one message away this year,
it is just to be kind 🤍
