Mindset trumps reality every time.

Tennis, running. parenting. sales. All of it.

A negative mindset will never give you a positive life.

We’re about to hit 10 years since Hugh walked into my life.

He had just written his CFA exam and I was annoyed that he had no time for me. Lol. He said I was being unreasonable.

Not much has changed. 😂

I am still unreasonable and want all of his time. ❤️

Adult friendships are the ultimate form of self care ❤️

The Harvard Study of Adult Development, one of the longest-running studies on human happiness, found that strong relationships and social connection are among the biggest predictors of health, happiness, and longevity.

Read that again.

The moms at the park.
The spontaneous after-school playdates.
The tennis friends.
The “meet us outside in 10” text.

That’s not fluff.
That’s health infrastructure.

And for kids? Environment matters even more.

Children absorb norms, habits, emotional regulation, confidence, social skills, and worldview from the ecosystem around them. Green space, community connection, and safe neighbourhoods are linked to lower stress, better attention, stronger emotional resilience, and healthier development.

Which brings me to this:

Environment doesn’t just shape behavior.

It shapes identity.

If your environment normalizes movement, connection, family dinners, ambition, healthy living, nature, and community… those things stop feeling hard. They just become who you are.

This is exactly why I love Midtown so deeply.

It’s not just where we live.

It’s where we walk, play tennis, raise our kids, meet our friends, run the trails, build our businesses, and do life.

A house is a container.

A neighbourhood is an operating system.

And childhood?

Kids absorb everything.
