Vanessa! A client of Textur since 2017 (I looked it up, girl!). In my time of knowing Vanessa, it has come to light there are great inconveniences in life due to what society sees as „outward“ disability. Vanessa has shared her story in lament of a world that does not cater to her needs. Accessibility in its realization is met with old buildings and infrastructure, the „inconvenience“ it poses on business owners in owning or renting old buildings, and the ultimate lack of willingness to make a shift. Accessibility is paramount and quite literally opens doors.
Vanessa is absolutely wonderful. Despite challenges with our world‘s inconveniences, she makes the best of life and has a supportive bestie, Glen, who advocates just as loudly and for good reason!
We have companies building bridges () and we need to see these in far more places. StopGap ramps are painted in bright colours to attract attention and have a punny name to boot! STOPGAP.CA had been stencilled on each ramp to direct people to the website - Please check them out!

My name is Allison and I’m the “former” Textur and “current”Textur owner. Formerly, I had a storefront and employees/commissioned stylists working for me and after *10 years* I packed it in to be in charge of myself solely. Currently, I work in the space of (an amazing space to have autonomy as a stylist and work alongside some amazing talent)!
