Beginning at sundown this evening, Rosh Hashanah marks the Jewish New Year and begins the Jewish High Holy Days, a time of reflection and prayer. Shana tova! We wish all those in our SCS community who are celebrating a year filled with peace, health, and happiness. 🍯🍎

Today, we kicked off a celebration 125 years in the making! 🎉

We gathered as a full school community this morning at a birthday party for SCS, the official kick-off to a full year of 125th anniversary festivities! The party featured SCS-themed activities like birthday card crafting, festive face painting, and “party penguin” temporary tattoos; active games like volleyball, co****le, and hoola hoops; and a school-wide rendition of “Happy Birthday to You”.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a birthday party without cake! Principal Perry and our 2026-2027 School Captain Melody FN. '27 marked the occasion with a ceremonial cake cutting.

We’re so excited to spend this upcoming academic year with our community celebrating the history, values, and traditions that continue to shape our extraordinary school, as we innovate for the future and our next 125 years. We can’t wait to share all of the wonderful fun to come as we mark this milestone. Happy 125th, SCS!!

This morning, the Parents' Association welcomed families back to school at their annual Welcome Coffee. It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect after the summer break and to meet new community members. Thank you to the PA for hosting and to everyone who joined us. We look forward to many more opportunities to connect throughout the year!
