Meet our Prefects for the 2026-2027 school year at SCS!

Some of the responsibilities of a Prefect include being a positive leader, promoting school unity and spirit, leading Prefect portfolios and serving as class Prefects for a Junior or Middle School class, attending weekly meetings, and leading the planning and implementation of all Prefect activities.

We look forward to seeing how you all ignite school spirit and support the younger years in your role.

Our Clementines stepped back in time last Friday afternoon as the Grade 4s headed to the Royal Ontario Museum for a day of learning alongside our Grades 10–12 Latin students! The Junior School students came prepared with questions tied to their Early Societies unit, bringing curiosity and excitement to each exhibit they explored.

Our senior Latin students took the lead as tour guides, having planned and organized visits through galleries on ancient civilizations such as Rome, Greece, and Nubia. As they explored together, students shared their knowledge, asked great questions, uncovered new ideas, and formed new friendships along the way!

Another milestone in our school year is in the books! ❤️This morning, we gathered for the annual Farewell Assembly, an opportunity for the Grads to share highlights and memories from their years at SCS, as well as emotional send-offs to sisters. Prior to this final assembly, members of the Class of 2026 and their families gathered for a breakfast reception, where they received bears sporting red blazers and gold belts - a welcome from the SCS Alum Association!

Hey SCS! Is there anything better than ice cream on a hot June day? 🍦

Judging by the turnout at the ice cream fundraiser hosted by our Student Council yesterday, the answer would be a resounding no! Thanks to everyone who stopped by to grab a sweat treat and support this student-led event.

Meet our Student Council Presidents for the 2026-2027 school year! We can't wait to see their leadership skills in action, and how their ideas come to life in their roles as StuCo Presidents.

Where’d all the time go? 🎵

Today, many of our Grade 12s showed up to SCS in items representing the schools they’ll soon call home. Different universities, different paths, but one amazing Class of 2026! 💙

Campfires were lit over lunchtime earlier this week as the SCS Athletics Committee celebrated an incredible year in Junior School athletics with some "Camp Clem"-themed activities and a special meal! 🔥

Congratulations to all the winners and participants! Trying out for a team takes courage, commitment, and true camp-style determination. Well done to our amazing athletes in Grades 1–6 who gave it their all this year!

A huge thank you to our Parents' Association for serving up smiles and ice cream at today's House Block Party Extravaganza! As you can imagine, it was a highlight during this super fun community gathering.🍦

Sun's out, fun's out! ☀️ Our second annual House Block Party Extravaganza brought the full community together for lively outdoor games, cool treats (courtesy of our wonderful Parents' Association!), and plenty of cross-grade connection under a beautiful blue sky. With big thanks to the Prefects for all of their planning, this final House event of the year was a colourful celebration of SCS spirit! ❤️💚💛💜

SCS is strongly committed to the development of leadership skills for all our students. As a culmination of this development, every Grade 12 student holds a formal leadership role – either school-wide, or co-curricular. We value both types of leadership roles equally as important opportunities to lead and mentor in a variety of ways.
