Skin Queen
I help you get your clear skin back without diets, pills, or facials! Skincare blindness➡️skincare know-how
The sooner you start, the better.
One good thing about having had acne is that it got me wearing sunscreen around age 16.
At first, not super consistently.
But over the years, more and more.
To the point that I wear it every day, every season.
I’ve probably worn it about 17 yrs straight except for my last “natural skincare” experiment when I was around 26.
And my skin has been clear for 9 yrs…
Because prevention is easier than reversal.
You’ll see what a good decision it was in your mid-thirties or forties when you look around at your peers and notice that your skin looks a lot nicer…
And you might even look younger. 👀
I’m NOT saying that your goal should be to stop aging entirely — that’s crazy and stupid.
Aging is a privilege.
I’m just saying that there are certain skin-supportive habits that prevent a lot of unnecessary damage to our largest organ.
And wearing sunscreen consistently is but one.
An easy one.
So will you?

Hope you’re having a nice day and I also hope you did your skincare routine TWICE today.

What causes acne?
Not what, WHO!
See, the most empowering thought that ever crossed my mind while trying to get my clear skin back was…
“I did this.”
Yes, I did it to myself.
Twice, actually.
But because I didn’t learn the lesson the first time, I was doomed to repeat the mistakes that led me to ruin my skin AGAIN.🫣
While blaming my hormones and diet.😬
You best believe that the lesson is definitely learned now.✅
You might resist this lesson…
It’s normal.
All the content you scroll is about blaming things for the acne, being a victim of acne, a whole lot of:
“Acne is not your fault.”
“Acne is normal.”
“Everyone gets acne.”
“It’s hormonal.”
You start to see yourself as a victim of acne, and a victim mindset is blinding.
Always pointing fingers, when you’re the only one in the bathroom with your skin is not very helpful, is it?
You take care of your skin.
Nobody is coming to save you from yourself.
ℹ️How can you save your skin from yourself?
💪By learning about this organ, by learning the evidence-based best practices that really support this organ, by ignoring all the trends and noise.
I hope this reality check reaches the person who needs it most.☺️

Let’s normalize learning how to take better care of our skin instead of blaming our diet and hormones for unintended damage from not knowing any better.
It’s a surface issue.
Skin is a complex organ.
Skin has needs.
If you meet them, it will be clear.
If you don’t, or worse, if you copy some random online person’s skincare routine…it won’t.
You have a resource here to help you achieve not a 2 month break from the acne (or whatever skin condition you call “acne”), but years of clear skin.
But there’s no magic.
There are habits that support and protect your skin that you actually have to stick to…
Twice a day.
That’s how I’ve maintained my own 9 yrs of clear skin, and how Hina has for SEVEN.
If you want to be next, start with 28 Days of Clear Skin (that’s where Hina started back in 2018 before she got a Routine Review with me).🤝
You got this!

HOW do you get clear skin?
Short answer: with skincare.
Yes, even those with the most severe skin conditions (see Results highlights) achieved clear skin with skincare. For YEARS.
But then you’ll ask:
“What products did they use?”
You hope that there’s a universal product or routine that will solve everything for everyone.
It doesn’t exist.
Everyone needs:
✅Know-how
✅Well-formulated products
✅Consistency
✅Patience..for clear skin.
💣You need these 4 elements under a very important umbrella: your INDIVIDUAL context
What is YOUR skin going through?
Why? For how long?
What needs to stop?
What is missing?
What needs to change?
What suits your skin?
It’s impossible to answer this on an individual level without knowing anything about your specific context.
It’s like asking, how do you lose weight?
General answer: calorie deficit, more movement.
But what does that look like?
The specific answer depends on the individual.
An expert can go beyond the general and make it specific to YOU: creating a precise and sustainable plan without the guesswork.
We discuss general guidelines here, like mastering the boring basics.
But we go beyond the basics with my clients and students.
What does that look like on an individual level?
Depends on each person.
When you ask me for product recs or explanation of why you’re experiencing a this or that with your skin...
There’s an answer; it’s not a mystery.
But I need context to go there.
Learn to discern between:
👉general vs. specific advice (hint: it can’t be specific without a detailed understanding of YOUR context)
👉trends vs. best practices (hint: there are no trends in the skincare routines I create for my clients)
👉marketing vs. facts (hint: the facts are usually way less sexy-sounding than the miraculous claims you’ll see in the marketing)
👉subjective options vs. objective opinions (subjective opinions will usually based on personal anecdotes and “what worked for me”)
The Skin Queen course explains all this and more in detail, and you can learn how to design an advanced skincare routine tailored to your skin’s needs.
Do not give up!💪

CLEANSE TONE MOISTURIZE has been drilled into our heads since when…?
Like the nineties?
That’s when you know the marketing is GOOD and effective. 🤑💸
Another thing toners used to have in their marketing was that they could “tighten pores”.
And they indeed would contain some astringent and drying ingredients to dry out your face and guve you the perception of tighter skin…
Tight = dry = stripped
But you best believe those pores were still there.
The toner messaging was so effective for so long that people still always ask me:
Do we need to use toner?
And the answer is no.
What most people need to focus on is
✨effective cleansing
✨the 3-step moisture method (get my free guide in the bio to help you get started!)
✨and a sunscreen you love
On top of that, you might have an addition 1-2 treatments to help your skin along.
The skincare industry would collapse if that’s what you mostly bought…
So now you’ll have all kind of milky, brightening, hydrating, smoothing toners, essences, sprays, pushed down your throat through influencer marketing.
Stop getting distracted.

Can you relate?
But after throwing out a few too many unopened sunscreens and feeling like a complete POS…
I now only stick to two fave formulas and only buy new ones when I’m close to running out or if they’re on a big sale.
See? Behaviour change starts with self-awareness.
You only have one face, and products expire.
Which means you gotta buy waaaaay less skincare than you think (or the influencers you follow will have you think!).
