Encouraging desi women to take up space
A lot of South Asian women start working out because of a comment someone made. An aunty. A relative. That one thing that stuck with you for years.
I see it all the time. And I get it.
But training from a place of punishment trying to fix yourself, trying to shrink, trying to look like something for someone else, I don’t think it lasts. And it doesn’t feel good.
What actually works is training because you want to feel strong. Capable. Confident. Because your body is something you live in and you want to feel good there.
That’s the shift. And once it happens, consistency follows naturally.

You don’t have to do a long hot girl walk if you don’t have time. Your activity level in a day matters.
Also fyi:
💗 it takes approx 7 mins to walk 1000 steps. Just gotta do ~8-10 of those in a day (is what I tell my clients)
💗 every 1hr do a 5 min walk especially if you don’t want to be categorized as an active couch potato (yeah you’re considered an active couch potato if you workout for 30-50 mins every day but sit for long periods of time)
💗 try to anchor your walks with your coffee runs: washroom breaks etc. They add up.
Save to remind yourself how to get those ~10k steps ✅
