Such a beautiful lady, and a beautiful story. Mra Ervia is originally from Equador and moved to Canada over 40 years ago because she was looking to help her family back home, she came alone and later brought her son ( that now takes care of her and is the one who brings her to the hair salon). I’ve done her hair with all the love I dedicate to any of my clients, but always noted that she was extra attentive to what I was doing. On her third visit. She told me with her strong Spanish accent, that I do a good job, and looks like I know what I’m doing. I thank her and looked at her son who told me that she was an incredible hairdresser in Equador. She had her own hair salon and she never abandoned the passion for doing her. She is 86 yo now! Can you imagine the emotions this brought to my heart! How much me and this lady share!!! I’m also an immigrant, I came from Brazil almost 14 years ago and I am privileged that I have support to follow my passion and transform it into a career. When I learn it about Señora Ervia, all I could do was given her the control …
