As we gear up for the holiday season, we are spending much time reflecting on this past year (in our happy place, of course 🌲🌲).
The growth we have experienced as a small business has been incredible.

We are so fortunate to have had so much support from our customers and to have so many wonderful people in our lives- we would not be here without you! 💚

The New Year holds some very exciting things, including the re-launch of our products and getting them on shelves overseas 🌍

Together with we will be making our all-natural & h**p-based products even more accessible and eco-friendly 🌱🍁

First snowfall of the year here in Ontario! ❄
Although we only got a couple of centimetres here, other parts of the country have been blanketed for weeks!
Snowshoeing, hearty soups, cool air and the soft sounds of winter are all things we are grateful for, and looking forward to. Especially when we are in full-work mode prepping for our very exciting relaunch in the new year! Time outside helps us remember to care for ourselves, and the nature we are dedicated to preserving 🌲

Not in health food stores, not in skincare, and not even on top of your favourite smoothie bowl. H**p was hardly anywhere to be found.

We are so fortunate to live in a country where every citizen has a right to vote.
Your voice is strong, and it matters. Please use it on Monday, October 21st on election day - our country, our communities, and our environment depend on you. 🌎💚

Have you ever heard of Chicken of the Woods? 🐓🍄
The first time we ever saw this unusual mushroom was while camping off the west coast of Vancouver Island 🌲 Since then, we've had the good fortune of cooking a delicious Chicken of the Woods risotto right here in Toronto, courtesy of good friends and their forage-savvy circle.
Growing in "shelves" on oak trees and conifers, some clusters grow to weight over 100lbs! And as the name suggests, they can be cooked in exactly the same way you would chicken (with a much more ethical and environmentally friendly impact) 💚

Join us tomorrow, September 27th, in a march for the environment. The Global Climate Strike is an opportunity to tell the world that we demand change, and to educate those less informed on the extent to which we’ve damaged our home, before it’s too late.
In Canada, we have the opportunity to vote for change in less than a month. Elections are a privilege and a chance to have our voices be heard. And as important as it is to exercise our right to vote on election day, remember that you’re voting today as well - through your behaviour, and the choices you make. We vote with our dollars. Be mindful of how those votes are cast.
Tomorrow, march with us in support of a movement we can no longer ignore.
Let’s show our leaders what’s really important.
Let’s make change by wasting less, and consuming more mindfully.

Embracing the rain in our beautiful rainforests 🌲

Meet our cutest conservationist - the Sea Otter! 🐚
While spending time hiking and enjoying the rugged west coast of Vancouver Island, we got to see these little guys in action.
Did you know? In order to stay warm in cold West Coast waters, Sea Otters must eat up to 25% of their body weight every day. Their meal of choice? Sea Urchins!
By controlling the size and number of seaweed-loving Sea Urchins, our friends the Otters keep our important kelp forest habitats alive and thriving 🌿
