THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO NAIL ENHANCEMENTS aka the nail bible!
Years in this industry has taught me that there is a disconnect between service providers and clients - even in the luxury/high end field. Especially when a client comes to you from a different provider and you aren't exactly sure what they have on and what they've been getting. And they aren't entire sure either. I have experienced many clients get a hard gel manicure for the first time after years of getting "bio gel" at a local shop (which just turned out to be acrylic with a top coat 🙄) and be surprised by the heat in the lamp. Or doing a removal only to be surprised by MMA acrylic (🤮)
It's our responsibility as professionals to educate our clients and be as transparent as possible. With the products, the process and the expectations.
I created this guide as a starting point for clients and techs alike. There are pros and cons to every type of enhancement but I truly believe if you're asking the right questions (both provider and client) that no single enhancement is better than another. Damage is NOT done by the enhancement, it is done by improper prep, application and removal. There is room in the industry for each service and the client that suits it!
