Working on "Superbuns" was an absolute joy from start to finish. The characters were irresistibly cute, the animation had that timeless, classic charm, and the world gave us so much room to play musically. Every episode felt like stepping into a bright, expressive sandbox where we could explore a wide range of styles and emotional colours.

In this particular scene, we leaned into a Randy Newman–inspired *Toy Story* vibe — playful, slightly mischievous, and full of heart. That meant warm piano at the center, brushed drums, light orchestration, and those cheeky harmonic turns that make everything feel both sincere and a little tongue-in-cheek. The melody had that storytelling quality — almost like it’s winking at the audience while still carrying genuine emotion. It was all about capturing that sense of wonder and personality that makes animated characters feel alive.

And then… we flipped the switch.

When the robot hit its moment, we went full metal. Big distorted guitars, driving double-kick energy, over-the-top attitude — the complete contrast to the earlier warmth. Letting the robot absolutely shred gave the scene this explosive payoff and reminded us how far we could stretch the show’s musical palette.

Projects like this don’t come around every day. Huge gratitude to the team for letting us explore, experiment, and rock out in equal measure. 🎶🐰🤘

Scoring this flashback scene for Rocket Monkeys was a great reminder of how fluid composing for children’s media needs to be.

What started as a light, nostalgic cue quickly evolved into something with more emotional depth and comedic timing beats layered in. In kids’ shows especially, tone can shift in an instant—one moment heartfelt, the next totally absurd—and the music has to pivot just as fast without losing cohesion.

For this scene, we leaned into that flexibility: weaving in softer textures to support the “memory” feel, then snapping into playful, energetic motifs to match the characters’ antics. It’s a constant balancing act between storytelling, humor, and pacing.

Being able to adapt on the fly isn’t just helpful—it’s essential. That willingness to rethink, reshape, and re-score in real time is what ultimately brings these moments to life.

The music swashes and buckles with vibes inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean — big brass, rolling drums, and enough adventure to make a plastic minifig walk the plank. 🏝️⚓

Lucky for us, our team is basically a crew of pirates already (minus the questionable hygiene), so channeling our inner sea dogs came naturally. Give us a studio, some coffee, and a dramatic ship chase? We’re in our element. 🏴‍☠️🔥

From the very first notes, we wanted the theme to feel like the moment playtime begins — joyful, bouncy, and instantly singable. As Dylan’s imagination transforms the meadow into everything from a hotel to a space station, the music transforms too. Each episode gave us the chance to explore new sounds, styles, and character motifs for Dylan, Ozzy, Daisy, and Bitsy 🚀🌼🎹

In each episode of this animated interactive preschool comedy, Dylan takes on a new career and invites his friends Ozzy, Daisy, Bitsy and the home viewer to play along. Using his vivid imagination, Dylan can transform the meadow into anything from a hotel to a space station. Who wants to play?

Remember the first time you rode your bike without training wheels—and felt like a total superhero? 🦸‍♂️🚲

Scoring Work It Out Wombats! is always a blast, especially when we get to bring out the magical kazoo and go all-in on epic superhero vibes. 🎶✨

In this episode, Mighty Zeke finally conquers his fear of riding without training wheels after suiting up in his superhero gear. But in the end, it’s not the costume that makes the hero—it’s the courage that comes from within. 💛

It’s that time of the season 🎄✨—holiday movies are officially in full swing, and we’re feeling extra festive.

We wanted to share a clip from "A Christmas Crush", a movie we had the joy of composing original music for. One of the things we love most about what we do is getting to write music across so many different themes and moods, and diving into a Christmas story is always a special kind of magic.

The holiday theme in this film made us feel warm and cozy, brought out all the festive feels, and honestly… made us laugh along the way. From heartfelt moments to playful fun, it was such a joy to help bring this story to life through music.
